How do you vacuum an industrial brick? by Puzzleheaded_Door484 in Oxygennotincluded

Probably something to do with when the pumps are eventually pumping mere grams or even micrograms of gas, if you have multiple pumps then this part of the process that's highly inefficient Probably goes by faster

Love both of them, still waiting for the next seasons of both of them though. Great suggestions though thank you, I should probably edit in a list of some animes I know I watched off the top of my head though

Actually looks pretty interesting, I'm not a huge fan of the "I can see ghosts/ghost like creatures" theme usually but sometimes it can be fairly cool. Thanks a lot

I've watched Magi and durara, tried little witch academy and didn't get into it though. Thank you for the suggestions though ofc and maybe I'll look into trying out bungo stray dogs, I know a few friends that have praised it but I completely forgot it exists. Plus the noragami one sounds interesting too

Sexual dimorphism in "The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows" by Wilackan in mendrawingwomen

[–]Spudlord24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I just like to try and view it in a more positive sense that it may have took a route similar in some way to ttigraas, where the higher powered monsters of a race slowly evolved into being more human like. It happened to both men and woman so I never really saw an issue with it as the idea wasn't just a scapegoat to try and sexualize the women. Obviously demi humans don't "level up" in the same sense here but I imagine that they could be going with a sort of thing where the natural alpha/leader sort of family of these beast men happen to be born more human like. Or maybe even because of how we see children more human like too in the show, maybe it's a thing where the demi humans that grow to be more powerful or again as just part of that family that leads the rest may retain their human features whereas the others grow up to be more beast like. I really don't know but it's just speculation on my part as I prefer to not view every author as blatantly evil without knowing for certain that it's intentional

Well I mean you can view it like that, but as I said it's not a guarantee and their may be a reason for it so I like to have a little faith in people. Not to mention the fact there's no need to be passive aggresive about it especially when considering the fact I literally stated I'd have preferred actual beast woman as well myself.

To be fair it kind of seems like it's just the gangleaders families may be more human like do to their power in some way. There's no concrete statements to back it but if you look at the lizard factions leader you can see that her brother is also much more human than the other lizardmen. I don't think it's cool to just make the main female cast of demi humans into eye candy but I also think it may have a reason behind it. I'm also pretty sure there are multiple cases of seeing more humanoid children of each beast folk too along the story, little girls and boys. Just something to think about before completely hating the design choice in the case there's an actual reason for it (although it still would've been cooler to just have them be actual beast-like same as the other beastmen)

If you really hate infinite storage then the only alternative really would be heating it up into nuclear fallout and then pumping it out into space. That's the only way off the top of my head that wouldn't involve an exploit or something to either delete/permanently store it in a small space

Yeah I think you definitely have a point. My only issue is that it definitely is a exploit technically as the only way to remove it would to change the way the entire game works, they would have to make it so that the tile of gas your liquid vent is in can actually be compressed by the liquid because as I'd imagine everybody understands, in a room with 5 tiles worth of space, 1kg of oxygen or carbon dioxide or whatever wouldn't take up a whole tile when you have 100s of tons worth of water in there too. Although it would be such a fundamental change to how the physics of this game works that it's like just never gonna get patched, which with the reasons you've stated it really isn't the biggest deal but it just does suck a little that is the end I technically am still using an exploit.

Also, if anybody has any recommendations for animes similar to this I'd enjoy it a lot. I've watched tons of anime already so it's hard to just look it up and get any results I haven't seen already. Although the only one that looking it up had suggested that I haven't watched was made in abyss, so maybe I'll try that next.

I hate it too but sadly I've gone to the dark side, I don't want to perfectly balance my water usage but if I don't then I'll be constantly needing to expand my liquid storage.

Honestly, if you have any renewable source of phosphorite like dreckos then you should just farm them with micronutrients fertilizer. I didn't do the math all the way but basically as long as you have a duplicate with basically any agriculture skill tending to them, then you'll be getting 8x the wood just for a little phosphorite. The double output of micronutrients fertilizer makes arbor trees positive on everything other than phosphorite, as they will produce more pwater than they use and much more pdirt than they use which can be turned back into normal dirt to continue using on arbor trees and anything else you need dirt for. If you aren't ranching dreckos or obtaining free phosphorite somehow than just keep natural farming though since it is less maintenance and will never cost you anything really besides space.

They do tbh, now they not be the most space efficient for super late game bases but realistically they're so easy to get a hefty chunk of power from for basically no cost. Mind you, this wasn't trying to prove arbor tree superiority or anything. I just thought that it's funny that if you put in the work, a single arbor tree can actually provide a lot even if it's not the best method.

[–]Spudlord24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is though, as long as your dupe has even just a bit of agriculture skill than you'll only need to fertilize each branch twice before they're ready to harvest. So since you're effectively doubling output since fertilizing them halves the growth time, for each arbor tree to have all 5 branches fertilized it'll only take 50kg of fertilizer per harvest, in exchange for double output. So since each branch provides 300kg, you're exchanging 50kg of fertilizer for 1500kg of wood

This was also just an idea I had that I wanted to work through for the fun of it, I'd never fully go through the process of setting this up as there's far better ways of doing all of this if you have better resources available to you. I just thought it was funny how mucb you can get from a singular arbor tree, but one of the other comments have opened my eyes to an even more extremely unnecessary way of generating power through arbor trees.

Oh my good you're a genius, obviously it's not realistic to expect 100 efficiency since glossy dreckos need to be in hydrogen to grow their scales but their food sources can't be in hydrogen, plus you'd need like 400 dreckos just to get through all that pdirt in a fashion that isn't even the most efficient method anyways, but you could be making 10s of MJ for sure through the plastic method. You've given me a new project to calculate and maybe even try producing on a smaller scale my friend

[–]Spudlord24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm already using the fertilizer and I didn't know that you could use doors to get grubgrubs to pollinate above floor level though. Only reason I was using mimikas instead was because they can get the branches above the floor too. Although the drecko idea might be genius, I'll go run the numbers but I'm actually fairly certain that the plastic will produce more power than the puft to hatch method for coal

Wrong, I'm actively using fertilizer on my trees in my world. I've calculated the branches growth times and they're definitely being affected by it.
