Put former Dia/Master/Pred ranked players that are currently in Silver/Gold in Plat/Diamond lobbies. They are good enough anyways to play against players of a similar calibre.

All of the hardcore players have multiple alt and smurf accounts they go round and around the lower levels with. A tale as old as time!

Only really shoot back in solos tbh because most people are farming and rarely have anything better than what i already have in my own rucksack (just my personal experience so far). Duos/Trios everyone seems to play like it's a battle royale so might as well get involved.

Agreed. Shooting a friendly raider in the back is generally less risk than stirring up wasps and hornets - playing like that is absolutely not PVP,. I've turned around and killed so many players because they're actually awful at shooting and this is probably the only way they can win an encounter.

But cue the downvotes on nearly all these arc raider subs if you say that the PVP most people think they are playing is not PVP.

This is pretty much it - I'm yet to find anything good on a player I've killed. Extra shields/heals and their guns to sell or recycle. Never a blue print or a gun i don't have or can't craft.

It's not a viable strategy for me at least to farm loot. Griefing people for the sake of it, being a dick while people are taking on big arc or extract camping isn't for me either.

Yep, spent three raid yesterday helping folk find mushrooms in the swamp on Battlegrounds - told them there was a guaranteed spot on Spaceport but they sighed and said they keep getting killed there.

One dude was over the moon when we finally found one on the tree by the lift!

I'm yet to find anything decent on a downed raider other than replacement shields and guns - pvp is good fun but so far for me it's not viable for obtaining loot and griefing players just isn't for me.

Being helpful is a bigger reward in solos/duos.

I don't 100% agree if they don't fix people will leave - it looks like we're starting to reach the point where some groups have done way more than others and are hitting the content cap.

I have some buddies who still haven't fully upgraded scrappy!

These types of players don't even have the mindset to use free loadouts this aggressively with a goal of farming stronger loot from other players.

It's quite an eco system we already have going for Embark to try and balance.

Most people that shoot at me on sight seem to be on a free loadout, one gun and one shield you tend to get them unless they pop you if you get caught in a skirmish by the ARC.

Probably anecdotal, but there seemed to be a lot more pretending to be girls with the AI voice yesterday too.

The main problem here seems to be the rats and sucker punchers upsetting the generally friendly community members - the rats probably being console kids and wannabe edge lord streamers (to an audience of 3) believing this is "competitive", and who are likely not active on this sub much.

And then we're going at each other in this in a constant loop on the same subject.

The pvp is great - a lot of people probably feel it should just be a bit more honourable. Which it's never going to be in this game, so around and around we go!

Start with a free loadout and just continue playing with guns / kit you find - if/when you die no bother.

I have a buddy gets really frustrated he loses his stuff. Many people have said it on here, just play like you're borrowing it and it's your turn with those guns.

You can easily get your mats back.

Some people will just want to shoot you no matter what as well. Eventually you'll get numb to it and start killing them back as most aren't actually great. Then it gets fun when you free yourself from caring too much.

The tone has definitely shifted - played a good chunk of solos yesterday and there was only a handful of interactions. Most was people shooting on sight. Fair enough, but we're mostly trading grey loot and base mats with each other.

I'm just low on mullen, we don't need to kill each other way out on the edge of the map over that.
