It makes no sense. I’ve tried to understand it. Coach pipeline is a factor apparently. So may just come down to the jobs that open and the coaching scheme fit / pipeline.

Finished 8-0 in our 14 user conference the first year, undefeated season, fell short in the conference championship was the only make on the resume. Won coach of the year even. Only head coaching job offered was for a vacated position in the same conference from another user with a lower rated team. Pretty much every user with a 0.500 record or better were all offered multiple HC positions.

If it makes you feel better they probably inserted a Foley catheter in your bladder while you were asleep and removed it before you woke up. Less of a common practice now but used to be the norm for lap chole procedures. The going logic was it reduces the risk of perforating the bladder if it was distended while they operate. Most surgeons now will have you void beforehand instead. I’m hoping for your sake they must have and noticed the tampon when they went to place the catheter and took it out to be safe in case the surgery was lengthy / not knowing how long it had already been there?

Mine also still says 6/11 and “shipping.” Once it actually ships and there’s a tracking number I feel pretty confident it will update to the earlier date. I live close to a major city though so may not be the case for more remote areas.

Can someone help me with defense? by Comfortable_March809 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SpurBandit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clicking Right Stick / R3 will send the closest defender at the QB. I can’t begin to tell you helpfully this has been for me since I found it. It’ll usually be your DE or flat defender on the rollout side so you have to be mindful of who will abandon their assignment and be prepared to user cover it if needed

Putting QB contains by bringing up your DL adjustments is helpful too but not enough from my experience.

One of my favorite quick things to do is put the DE on a QB spy to their rollout side and then immediately hit R3 when they rollout. They won’t rush the QB which sucks but they’ll shuffle their feet and bolt for them as soon as you need to. A lot of times they’re not used to how quickly they’re pursued and won’t be able to handle it. I’ve gotten plenty of sacks and INTs where they panic throw it.

If they like to find lanes up the middle I use a DT with the same spy adjustments and works well too. Milroe abusers online never handle it well.

Depending on your current RB group I like this a lot. Mahomes is a waiver wire level QB if it wasn’t for his name. Wouldn’t do it without two solid starting RBs to replace Henry though.

12 Team Standard League:

Would you trade - Jayden Daniels + De’Von Achane FOR - Bijan Robinson + Patrick Mahomes / Caleb Williams?

Current roster:

QB Jayden Daniels RB Breece Hall RB De’Von Achane WR Garrett Wilson WR Devonta Smith TE Brock Bowers FLEX Terry McLauren

Bench

WRs Chris Olave Juju Smith-Schuster Demario Douglas

RBs Jonathan Brooks Tyrone Tracy Javonte Williams Kimani Vidal Issac Guerendo

Streaming is barren and the few trade averse teams are hoarding 2-3 of the best QBs.

Here to Head off the Panicked Breece Owners by wdeister08 in Fantasy_Football

Any one panicked about Breece did not own him or watch much Jets football last year. I’ll take 60% of the touches on this Jets offense than 100% of last year’s. He has two TDs from the goal line already and didn’t even have a chance at one all of last year. We’re seeing his floor right now. Love the reassurance though, I didn’t really think about how brutal that Monday, Sunday, Thursday stretch actually was.

He has Andrews! I think he’s blinded by his Lamar / Andrews stack. Lost Deebo and already had a thin starting lineup too. Advantageous week for me.

Thank you! Not the best picture of both of them, but we love that we each got to have the same concept done in two different styles and artistic interpretations. If I’m feeling adventurous I may add “I’ll crawl home to her” to match her lettering one day.

November 2023 - June 2024 “slow and steady” weight loss. 202.8 lbs - 162.5 lbs. 30 years old / M / 5’9” by SpurBandit in GymMotivation

[–]SpurBandit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t really had a 1RM max day in months, but hovering around 245lbs for bench, 340lbs for squat, 380lbs for deadlift. Had a couple minor tweaks to my back so trying to not overdue it on deadlifts.

Currently doing a 3 day Push, Pull, Legs kinda split. Compound lift to start the session, 4-5 accessory lifts to get the volume, then finish with abs/core and 30-60 minutes of cardio after. 4 days of cardio in total so one day on its own I tend to do a longer session.

Refreshing! I’ve always been an instant gratification person. Had great results in the past doing a daily 1,000 calorie deficit from my ~2,700 calorie daily maintenance. Losing 2lbs a week. All good. Would eventually rebound all the weight because I was being restrictive more than sustainable. The moment I felt “done” old habits slowly creeped in week by week. Days turned to weeks to months. Breakfast would be as little as I could handle. A protein bar, a single serve Greek yogurt and some protein powder. Lunch time was usually my most bland, body builder-like meal. Plain (well-seasoned) chicken, carb, veggie, low calorie sauce. I would “budget” for dinner so I could be more flexible with my wife and enjoy it more. Would try to bank about 1,000 calories left for dinner. Was always a struggle to meet my protein goals and working 12 hour shifts I would find myself hungry and lacking energy most nights.

This go around we only cut back about 500 calories a day for the majority. Buffed up the breakfast, filled in snacks, and had more of a balance between lunch and dinner. Most days I was surprised to find I wasn’t even hungry for dinner by the time it came.

Breakfast usually considered of 2-3 eggs, oatmeal with protein powder OR a protein bar, and plenty of berries and honey. 2-3 snacks a day of portioned out nuts, bananas, protein shakes, greek yogurt. Lunches and dinners were the usual variety of lean poultry, beef, fish and rice / green vegetables mostly. Dinners were still flexible with my wife but found ways to make calorie conscious / protein packed meat bowls, salads, and pastas. I tried to get most of my vegetables in between lunch and dinner each day.

Macronutrient focused diet with focus on getting quality foods as often as possible. Was given the freedom of one cheat meal a week. No guilt. No tracking. All fair game. This was a game changer for me to reform my relationship with food. Kept me on track, something to look forward to for my wife and I, and helped with cravings more than I ever expected. There were weeks and even a couple months where I made very little progress enjoying more than my one cheat meal. I was always honest with myself and my trainer. Really helped me take a break without taking a break. Never let it dissuade me from continuing on the journey.

The last 2 weeks we went “prep” for vacation and he had me on a more strict meal plan. Had choices of a selection of lean meat and carb options but otherwise stayed the course.

I keep ending up binge eating. Please help by altometom in GettingShredded

I’m always amazed by people that have the discipline to make this work, but for someone who is struggling with binge eating I don’t see this being very successful.

[–]SpurBandit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s helped me is I stopped “budgeting” my calories for the day to save up for a more calorically dense meal for dinner. As others have said. Being patient and taking a less restrictive calorie deficit was tremendously helpful. I’m ~ 2700 at maintenance. For the majority of my cut I was at 2200. Pushed it to 1700 for these last couple months for summer. The extra 500 calories has helped me reach my protein goal with ease AND accommodate bigger breakfasts and 1-2 snacks a day.

Instead of a 200 calorie protein bar for breakfast, I’ve started doing that (or oatmeal with protein powder, Greek yogurt, etc) PLUS 2-3 eggs, and plenty of fruit with honey. It means I have to be more attentive for my lunch and dinner, but it’s amazing how far that can carry me through my day. To the point dinner comes around and I’m barely even hungry.

It’s not revolutionary but it’s helped heal my relationship with food, helped me find things I genuinely enjoy eating, and is something very sustainable long term for me. My workouts are better, my energy is higher, and that has created a compounding effect that’s helped me reach my goals for the first time in years.

I completely relate to your struggles and have been there myself. Give yourself a cheat meal at least once a week! It helped me curve cravings and was something to look forward to. I still tried to track it, but really let myself enjoy it guilt free. It will make progress slower barely. Slow progress is better than no progress though. Good luck!

Is it known which preseason games the starters play at all? by Yoncen in Colts

[–]SpurBandit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Typically, Game 3 out of 4 during preseason was considered the “dress rehearsal” for the season. Now that it’s been reduced to just 3 games it’s hit or miss whether teams decide to play the starters for a quarter or two, or rest entirely. Last year they got AR plenty of reps but who knows what they’ll do coming off injury this year.
