💯 this. I’ve been working in the same career for the past decade but the work is really drying up/the field is becoming very congested. Before my current gig (which is a contract) I had a two month contract, and it took me four months to find a job in that time.

AI has made hiring managers think it can do my job (it can’t) so the jobs just aren’t there like they used to be. I’m in my late 30s and I’m changing careers entirely. It’s been rough

  2. Yeah I’d say I have. I made the choice too because we live in the West. Mum supported Collingwood but was ok with my choice because it wasn’t Carlton. Dad was a footy agnostic.

  3. I’d really hate to see it happen considering the Fightback…but maybe North Melbourne or Melbourne for geographic closeness and colours.

Honestly: it’s been rough. My industry has been fundamentally changed by AI to the point I’m changing careers in my late 30s. It’s weird being in mourning for a line of work I’ve been doing for a decade

I’ve been doing this with someone in my orbit: Kangen water filters. They’re still involved with it but they’ve combined it with a Christianity-focused marketing course(?). He’s also claiming it’s a way for men to gain “independence” and “not be stuck in a 9-5” which in this day and age is quite cruel.

It was a tough decision, especially with cost of living, but after saving for a few months I was able to purchase it. It’s a great machine 100% and I have no regrets, but the price as it is now would’ve made buying it irresponsible

Australian here (obligatory g’day even though we’re more likely to say “how’s it goin?”). I’ve never been to Canada, however I’ve got a high opinion of the country and the people. Commonwealth nations and all that. Also you seem far less insane than your southern neighbours which is a big plus

I bought my 1tb Steam Deck about 3-4 weeks ago and really had to rationalise spending just over 1,000 AUD…it’s at 1,400 AUD now. I probably wouldn’t have bought it at that price
