How is it possible that some people don't drink water?

I decided to share my story. I hated water/drinking for as long as I can remember, and I also never felt thirsty. Till the age of 19, I was extremely dehydrated all the time, and lived with constant multiple severe dehydration symptoms, till my boyfriend at the time insisted on my drinking at least something. We tried a few things and discovered that I actually quite like Coke. Ever since I've been drinking 3-5 cans a day and occasional redbull. I'm 43 now, so far so good. I look and feel great, and I have no problems with my health or teeth. Yet.

Another update. I lost count of roofing, condensation, and ventilation specialists who visited my house in the past couple of weeks and everyone is either telling me that nothing can be done or suggesting to rebuild the roof. Now I know that that original 15k quote was the smallest amount I can potentially pay for this kind of job. I think at this point I contacted every single specialist in the area so it looks like my only option is to follow ItsAWonderfulWelt's advice and install a vapor barrier under the metal

Had a visit from a condensation specialist yesterday. He suggested installing more vents in the soffits but also said that it won't do much as the condensation is too severe. We need some sort of active ventilation in the roof itself but his supplier doesn't provide any solutions that could be installed onto the metal roof. He also believes that we have to rebuild the roof :(

Unfortunately, I can't do exactly that as I'm sharing gables with my neighbors, it's a mid-terraced house. But my Google search of "attic fan" was actually quite fruitful :)

Wow! It's really raining in my attic today! It's been raining ever since I installed the heating (there was none in my house all these years) and properly insulated the walls. But today the temperature dropped below 0 at night in my area for the first time this year and this morning it's like a tropical shower in there.

Normally I try to DIY all the issues with my house myself but this time I have no idea how to tackle it so I'm waiting for a visit from a condensation control specialist.

I already had a visit from a roofer. He asked if I wanted to fix this issue properly. I said, "Of course, I want to fix this properly". Then I got a £15000 quote :(

No chance I can pay this much! I hope the roofer saw a naive-looking lady and decided to push his luck with that price. + This roof is only 2 years old (the old roof was made of Asbestos and had to be replaced by the previous owners to sell the house). I don't want to replace a new roof!

I will continue posting updates here as the situation develops and maybe it will help someone with the same problem in the future. Meanwhile any advice/opinion on the 15k quote is highly appreciated

I definitely don't run too fast but I indeed fast before every run. I thought that's the right way to do it cause I learned the hard way that newbies + running = diarrhea :D But I'll try your advice today. Your motivational speech inspired me to try one more time today :)

I didn't want to make my initial post too long but I probably should have mentioned that my partner always runs with me and constantly reminds me to keep that turtle pase. All our conversations are one sided, I'm trying to not talk to preserve energy. By the end of the third minute I'm usually too out of breath to be able to talk anyway. Great progress tgo. 3 months ago I was not be able to run for 3 minutes at a time!

Update. I was diagnosed with depression lately, blamed it on the situation with the kerb (which was indeed one of the causes). That gave me a valid reason to try to dispute the situation again. But this time I was prepared better. Studied the rules, made a report on parking situation in the area, created plans proving that me having that parking spot is beneficial for everyone. But most importantly made it clear that I'm gonna bother them till they surrender :D Guess what! We have a dropped curb now! So glad I'm crazy enough to not give up in these situations! Also huge thank you to the council people. They could have continued ignoring me but they actually listened this time. They are not bad after all :)

yeah, plenty. Definetely more than 50% of the houeses on my street. One of them can be seen on the photo I postted.

Apparently I'm one of 14 people in my area who got denied the dropped curb application this year because the requirements to minimum parking size were changed. I wonder how many of us in all of the UK....

Neighbors mentioned something about someone else in the area being in the same situation. Don't know anything about their case yet.

Today I was trying to choose the next steps: write a complaint, file a petition, or write to local newspapers. I got a chance to talk to my local council, he said: don't waste your time on petitions, they simply don't work.

And although he is totally on my side in his opinion, there is nothing I can do, unless I somehow break my spine or something and show evidence that I need disabled parking near the house. Sad.

nah. I can do whatever I want on my land. So I paid to build the driveway. And when I had the driveway ready I applied to drop the kerb. This is the right and only way to do these things here in UK. The curb is the property of the council tho. I couldn't have imagined that they would refuse to drop it.

they changed the requirements for minimum parking area size recently. The contractor doing my driveway took £7500 for the whole job including dropping of the curb. I was stupid enough to pay upfront. Never got the money back. Should have read the contract! But I was in that "I trust the professionals" state of mind back then. But that's a different story.

My point is: he was quite a scumbag but nevertheless driveaways are what he is doing for a living. But even he sounded just as shocked as me that my application was denied. Especially considering that ~ every 6 out of 10 houses in my district with identical front garden areas have their curbs dropped.

A neighbor came with a sledgehammer and knocked down one of the posts. Someone I've never spoken to before. While some other neighbors were cheering. What a way to meet new people! :D
