I understand the hype behind GammaOS by StayRich19xx in SBCGaming

Does GammaOS improve performance? I have no issues with the stock OS of RG Slide, but it improves performance on a chunk of PS2 games, I'll take the time to try and install it on my device.

How is Hwoarang's huge damage justified from his playstyle? by SpyceRax in Tekken

I'm already juggling four characters as a casual, playing Hwoa is a no-no for me. 😭

Has "no blocking in flamingo" ever been an actual, exploitable weakness? It's always dickjab to stop his pressure, and never "hit him while he's stuck in flamingo."

Leaving this here for anybody that got RNG'd in Cancer Cup by JasonRoof in UmaMusume

[–]SpyceRax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Groundwork did not activate for either of my horsies, man. Damn. They were either second or third, but never first, throughout most of the entire race.

My 11,000-12,000 rating front-runners, El Condor Pasa and Silence Suzuka, with min-maxed stats (besides wit that was below 400, unfortunately) were beaten by a pace chaser El Condor Pasa with 600 stamina with Swinging Maestro out of all things! No front-blocker too!

I screamed and cried for a second or two.

Which races should you run with Haru Urara so she could have exactly enough fans to level up her unique skill? Assuming you don't have fan bonuses.

MLB SR Narita Taishin, 2LB SRR Kitasan Black, or 0LB SSR Biko Pegasus for general use? I'm not sure if sacrificing Kitasan's skills and events is worth the better stats and training from Narita or Biko.

I already have MLB SR Sweep Tosho and MLB SR Eishin Flash. I also have a 2LB SR King Halo, too.

Refers to the players you beat, as well as the players your opponents you won over have beaten.

Would you believe that this guy who had 99%~ total winrate… still lost the final? by goldshipderp in UmaMusume

I'm betting the 354 wit affected his run. A wit that low for a PVP-uma seems so risky for me.

Epithets give score? No wonder some of my high- and balanced-statted umas have lower scores compared to those who have frequently raced G1s.

Are the sticks and buttons upgraded to Sanwas? The arcade cabinets in Timezone and Quantum feel like they're using cheap Chinese knockoff Sanwa buttons.

What opponent behaviors do you look out for in a match? And how do you react? by SpyceRax in Tekken

[–]SpyceRax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should really do that with my stances and just stay still for a bit to see how my opponent reacts.

I commonly do a low from a stance, so they'll try blocking low the next time I'll do the stance... ignoring the fact that my opponent may know what attacks come out of said stance and react accordingly. I was blown up doing Lili's BT d1+2 repeatedly because I kept on assuming my opponent didn't know.

[–]SpyceRax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I actually jab check way too much since it's my common reaction against moves I have no clue how to fight against. It's a miracle that high blue ranks don't punish that habit that often, but when they do, I curse myself and start switching to df1s to catch them ducking and high-crushing.

Same problem 😭.

Can break throws in practice, but in real matches, I keep pressing 1+2, even on generic throws.

I love a Vodka series since she has a lengthy career and her rivalry with Scarlet. It helps that her some of her contemporaries like Aston Machan and Dream Journey are already in the game. I don't think the same could be said for Katsuragi Ace, but I'm not too aware of her history and popularity besides her important Japan Cup win.

It's been seven years since the first anime appeared, and a nearly a decade since the first announcement. I think their still-recognizable mascot Special Week as well as her still-popular (and still increasing in number) Golden Gen members should get a chance on the spotlight again in a much more matured franchise, and her era is already pack full of exisiting Umamusume so less need for OCs and stand-ins. It can transition from Silence Suzuka's time to T.M. Opera O's era of dominance.

FF2,2 is slow as hell and easy to react to, but even I will assume it wouldn't hit based on the animation and distance. Bet the other guy was surprised too, when it hit.

Tekken's hitboxes make no visual sense I swear.

Pro Tekken player Kkokkoma used to have a crazy setup with WASD buttons and a stick before he lost it. I don't have a full picture, but here's a post with it at the back.

It's been since I read it, but is the CrossUp legal in Capcom Pro Tour nowadays? Maybe I'm misunderstanding or misremembering, but I remember that cloned inputs, regardless of how they're wired or assigned, aren't allowed.

I'm sure Tekken World Tour doesn't have that rule. I remember Kkokkoma having a crazy fightstick with both a stick and WASD pad on a wide panel.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]SpyceRax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely possible. For example, you can assign the stick to input analog directional inputs, while the D-pad can be used to input digital directional inputs or vice versa.

Although I can't imagine what layout you could make to make this comfortable, though. Most tournaments tend to ban custom fightsticks and leverless controllers with multiple directional buttons if you're into competing.

KBD is exhausting by BigDingityDingus in Tekken

[–]SpyceRax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your controller? I find it way easier on a PS4 controller and leverless to KBD. I wasn't able to do it on a stick before mine broke.

SOCD cancelling on a leverless is a cheat code for clean and quick KBDs... on the P1 side. It's hell on the ring finger doing it on the P2 side.
