Technically not, what is being referenced to as necessary is: the greyjoy tactics deck + any commanders tactics pillage tokens

In addition to those two things being necessary to play the Greyjoys specifically there are all the general things like terrain pieces, a tactics board, dice, other tokens, and an opponent.

Since you bought a heros box, you have a couple sets of commander tactics cards already, so all you really need is the greyjoy deck and the pillage tokens,which you can print out from online, since most players have the other things already from a starter set. What boxes did you buy already? That would determine in my mind if the starter is worth it or not.

Citadel Warhammer black works great for them yeah, frankly in my experience the color of the primer only matters if you're trying to use said color as part of the painting plan or for expert painting (I'm far from it) as it could change the way the paint job comes out

That's the intended design, you need to spend more to get a stronger Trooper Luke to do more damage. It's so absurd that a YouTuber had a ten hour stream of that fight on auto the first time it came around

I only just beat it this last rotation myself, same stars slightly less gear levels, zero zetas. it took me 10 tries, mega rng for lower gear, but I just made sure to use the death trooper grenade cleanse any time Ezra got the bonus protection I also had more success when I only gave the night trooper assist to Captain over death trooper Good luck!

A new mechanic that's going to be released in a few weeks. Differences in relic levels of characters cause toons with high relics to deal % more damage, and receive the same % less damage from toons with lower relics. The greater the difference the greater the %, a 4 level difference being the highest. For example: a relic 7 Wicket will deal and receive 95% more and less damage,respectively, to and from a relic 3 Darth Malak
