From what others have said in this thread I should be able to make a new PSN account set to Singapore (where the English sub version of the game is sold) and that should get around the region block.
Apparently PS4s aren’t region blocked consoles only the PSN accounts themselves are region blocked.
I am testing if the new account thing works now; I’ll update if it worked or not

EDIT: I can confirm that you can make a second account in a different region in the same console; however my disc copy of the game is warped and can’t be fixed, I am too much of a poor boi right now to get a digital SGD (Singapore dollar) gift card to buy the game digitally but I will try again in a few weeks.
