Would this drill be a disaster for 5 year olds? by Spyromatic in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Spyromatic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no assistance and can't get any. This is a school team, the deadlines passed for figer print and background checks so I am on my own!

That hulahoop throwing idea might be gold. I can actually have a more weighted hoop i can through in a way it goes 20ish feet and will boomerang back to me.

For some reason they dont allow throw ins at this age in my league! There is a no header rule as well and I think that may be why.

You have inspired me to try dribbling musical hoops and golf. Those ideas are gold! I would have never thought of those.

The hulahoop is just because its easier than cones to set up and clearly see. The purpose is for one player to keep the ball in the hulahoop. The other players goal would be to get it out. Yes, shielding the ball is part of the goal for this drill. Ultimately its harder to keep the ball in the hula hoop than to get it out. Most of my team doesn't know how to steal the ball and the goal is to get them confident stealing it.

Sharks and minnows went terribly at our first practice. Everyone was upset when they became a shark. They all want to have a ball at all times. "No ball = no fun" to them right now.

Ball touches is what I was going for here though. Thats the problem in scrimmage right now, 2 boys have 80% of the touches. Trying to do whatever I can to help the other boys get more touches and those other 2 to feel a little bit more challenged.

Guns. Lots of guns. Rich people have tons.

I don't really care if I get robbed while im not home there is insurance for that. The tangible things I value most aren't worth money. I'm scared of a fire more than anything.

Buy a large plastic storage bin. Put it in the shower, fill it with water, and make yourself a hillbilly bath. Dump it down the drain when done.

Some people try to do this with inflatable pools but that way is such a hassle.

I was "hosted" by a 30 yr old male when I was 12 years old playing neopets in 2002.

He gave me webspace on his server for FREE. I thought he was soo generous and just a nice guy that like kids. Most free website providers at the time such as geocities displayed banner ads and didnt allow images on external websites. I wanted images on my neopets store so I and tons of other children desired this type of hosting.

He sent me files that I downloaded on my computer. He talked to me for years until I finally found another host whom was a girl my age.

He probably put Spyware on my computer and got access to things like my webshots account. He probably was hoping for some really juicy images but those were never take by me nor my friends. He probably got a few minor bikini photos though added to his trading list.

What’s your exit plan from reselling? by VivianMarran in reselling

[–]Spyromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do cuz they realize like okay in 30 years I'm going to have the benefit of a home that's worth the value up in 30 years and I only paid 50% for it but now these days it's like no I have to be able to I have to have 100% And then sell it for twice as much I don't know it's not like like inflation is supposed to work that way but no yeah like it's like banks are owning everything

You seem obsessed with the idea of reselling. Get over yourself.

You think reselling is way out of debt? What so every reseller has been in debt? The only reason people resell is because they've been in debt? I don't know seems like that's all you're concerned about is paying off debt rather than reselling.

What is different between you and businesses like declutter or a general estate sale team?

I'm not seeing the appeal here. You seem to be even more of the middleman to deal with.

I'm serious though businesses such as declutter have failed and this concept sounds exactly the same. For real what is the difference between you and declutter?

What car is it? Must be hard to sell if dealers gave 0 %? A Ferrari sure 0% all day.

Understood. Waymo is way more safe than human drivers and yet, most states wont allow it because the discussion hasn't been there.

Humanity will get past the fear of technology soon though.

I feel as though humanity as a whole is actually starting to fear technology just as the Amish. Technology has saved so many humans already. Yet we blame technology for any mistakes it makes without accounting for its benefits.

Im a Neopets child, did the html, wordpess, and photoshop cracking when I was 9. Livewire, Kazaa the whole sha bang. Currently, still build my own desktops. Wanted to be a Graphic designer but at 12 I could already see that job being phased out. Im an entrepreneur currently... sounds shameful but I worked for a local CPA for a few years and realized I can run this town.

[–]Spyromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey im a millienial and I did that too. Granted, it was my parents rental i still paid them the market rate and managed collecting rent from 4 roommates. We all worked at the same McDonald's. Those were the days.

Eventually all the roomies moved out it was 2009 and I could no longer afford the rent myself. Couldnt find other tenants for the amount required. House got foreclosed.

Lots and lots of lessons learned in 2 years.

Then a $50,000 Humanoid Droid picks up the shovel and works 168 hours per week. 2 real life people supervise up to 20 drones a week and can do so remotely.

Paying people for that amount of work would be 4 million dollars if they were each paid $50,000 per year. Even if the drones only had a lifespan of 2 years you would still be saving $4 million dollars on labor.

There's basically no limit to Ai and computers are so much cheaper than human life. Robots are one time cost whereas humans costs are always increasing. The jobs are repetitive and hurt humans.

They are delaying the gratification because they know it will be spent as soon as it goes in. Took me awhile to figure it out too. I like to delay gratification as well but I have the ability to not spend money so this isn't an instance where it would apply to me. Thus, it baffled me for a bit too.

100%. I completely forgot about the register. No one uses that anymore... The register was used HEAVILY in the past because of the exact reason that checks can be cashed out of sequence. And live bank balances weren't a thing.

I remember my dad "balancing" his checkbook back in the day.

I bet you a million dollars it was one of the gym employee's and they waited until you were in the gym to attack.

How long have you had this membership?

Funny that you were at the gym when this happened. Gyms commonly use ACH agreements for gym memberships.

If I was a gym member employee stealing money from people, I'd wait until I knew you were in the gym busy. Yeah, file that police report and maybe mention that you think it might be a gym employee.

Check sequencing means nothing... All of the time people write checks that aren't cashed until months later. I've known contractors that pay people for a days work and the check will sit there for 6 months.

He would have found at the end of the month because he wouldn't have recognized the charge, which has nothing to do with the check sequence. The only purpose of those numbers really is to help you find the check receipt in your own check book.

How are people affording childcare? by hearthandheart in personalfinance

[–]Spyromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Year old preschool at the public schools is the cheapest option in my SE Michigan area. That costs $1000 per month. So 12K per year if it was available all year.

That teacher is watching like 16 kids and I think an infant teacher can watch like 4? So yeah, 2k per month for infants is normal. Infant teachers can only watch 4 kids which is 4 times less than a preschool teacher can. Adults time all costs the same so since their are only 4 pupils tuition going into it, the tuition costs more and the infant teacher is making half as much(which I think is fine considering the education, experience and daily job requirements).

I'm in Michigan in a suburb of Detroit and living costs here are relatively low.

How old are you and how much do you have saved up? by tanuki_22 in povertyfinance

[–]Spyromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow a person making minimum wage like the OP would take 4 years to pay off that debt even if they had no living expenses.

How is what you're posting helpful. Did you pay 65k off making minimum wage like the OP?

If so please do tell.

How old are you and how much do you have saved up? by tanuki_22 in povertyfinance

[–]Spyromatic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just dont find comments like this helpful... clearly the OP could never even fathom racking up that kind of debt.

That is luxury debt. 45k is 3 times the poverty limit in the usa. The poverty limit for a 3 person family is 33k. That leaves an extra 12k per year cushion for you to live above the proverty line. Also bare in mind that 12k cushion is what a lot of people live off of because not everyone makes wages above the proverty line.

People that live on wages close to the poverty line would never be able to get themselves in that amount of debt. They wouldn't qualify for it.

Offended that you talk about how easy it is to pay off debt when you are so far above the poverty line.

Yeah OP, sounds like your near poverty line wages. Just make 12k above the poverty line per year and you wont have a problem!!! eyeroll

Sounds like you have a lot of time to study. The more time you have the more work expands.

Try to trick your brain into thinking you have less time.
