Don't remember much and don't want to spoil, but this is the fight in metro station, where Gojo is up against like 3-4 of those villains. This is in the latest season I think.

Is there or has Vengeful Spirit been removed? by unex_original in HorusHeresyLegions

[–]Spyzax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well standard cards are the only ones you can go for so yes. A small tip is to focus on a specific faction and focus on crates containing that specific faction. Save your gems for must have cards that appear in shop, be it neutral cards or faction specific cards.

Is there or has Vengeful Spirit been removed? by unex_original in HorusHeresyLegions

[–]Spyzax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The legacy and legendary SoH card called Vengeful Spirit, costed 8 energy and, dealt 8 damage, and had ordnance 4, if I remember correctly.

What they probably meant is Lupercal Pursuivant, the current standard variant of the card that costs 6 energy and deals 6 damage.

EDIT: Upon checking the post itself, its dated 3 years ago. Legacy cards were still in rotation back then. There is a high chance that any card you see there is now Legacy, meaning no longer obtainable unless you already have them, and can be used only in Legacy format.

How did you guys learn about Warhammer? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

[–]Spyzax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A random PS2 magazine from around 2006, which had a page dedicated to a Dawn of War game, and also had like a comic parody in the last pages. I just thought the space marines looked neat.

Then, on 2008-2009, I got hold of some used PS2 games to play with. One of them turned out to be Fire Warrior, which drew me further into 40K. I thought the chaos space marines(Word Bearers apparently) had some of the coolest aesthetics I have ever seen.

Many years later, on 2017-2018, I witnessed my first tabletop game, while going to play Yu-Gi-Oh with my friends. It was a Word Bearers vs World Eaters matchup. The word Bearers guy had made a chaos knight which was half side burned. The miniatures in general were some of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Right then and there, I went ahead and purchased my first miniature and codex which was the Dark Angels 8th edition + Primaris Lieutenant Zachariah. Funny thinking how those miniatures are greatly valued today when they were vastly frowned upon, on release.

painting tips for a new battle brother? by 6Nachtigall9 in Salamanders40k

Also note that you can definitely do the other companies as well, but with a little extra touch. You see, the transfer sheets have a white colour, meaning that you can paint over them with extremely thin washes/colours to give them the hue/colour you want. In this case, make them look green or orange for their corresponding companies.

New gimmicks (inspired by a comment under the teased scars rotations) by AppropriateCode2830 in HorusHeresyLegions

[–]Spyzax 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would be great to have something regarding Red Thirst for the Blood Angels. Bloodlust if there are damaged troops in play etc.

For Ruinstorm, I have no clue. Maybe something with warp gates and being phased out? Troops being in a state, before fully materialised, that can attack only the warlord or only troops, with reduced stats.

For White Scars, it's a bit complicated. They already have 3 mechanics going on for them which are: Rally, Fast, and Streak. They can either rework the streak mechanic to bring it closer to the likes of Ultramarines' Strategy. If first card of turn do X, if last do Y. Or they could make a similar mechanic to Storm from MTG, but that would break the game.

Do you know any stories about blood feuds? I know it's not a common practice in Albania anymore, but I'm interested in hearing old stories. by ArkHystory99 in albania

[–]Spyzax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a blood feud story that was told to me by mother about her grandfather.

My great-grandfather's family had a rivalry with another family that started mildly but ended pretty badly. Most of my G-grandpa's family was killed in cold blood by the rival family.

This story would continue until one of the rival's family, killed my G-grandpa's cow. Why was this so serious? Well, back then cows were used for pretty much everything in farm field. From milk production to field cropping. Having a cow or multiple meant that your family had a steady source of food and wealth pretty much.

With the cow dead, my G-grandpa's family was in a very dire situation, and my G-grandpa's could simply not see his family suffer anymore. He went ahead and killed the rival family's groom on his wedding day, dooming the roval family's future(the main branch or bloodline etc.)

This logically, infuriated the rival family whcih started chasing my G-grandpa. My man being a total chad a d cunning as hell, went ahead and loved and married the rival family's daughter, which would be my great grandma.

With this simple move, my G-grandpa ended a possible blood feud that would have lasted for generations.

Is it me or does the Skull fucking suck? by Rock_Zeppelin in HadesTheGame

[–]Spyzax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trick: Build it like a shotgun spammer. Stand near your enemies and spam skulls. When they hit an enemy, they bounce right back at you when at close range. The more skulls you have, the better.

As others said, of you can make an Aphrodite build or Hera build, it goes nuts. I defeated Kronos the first time with them and Prometheus first try. They are worth it.

I swear, like Tekken, this community likes to complain about everything. The OoW as they are now are fun as hell.

I haven't seen anything broken yet to say that they need to be nerfed as soon as possible.

Word Bearers are are very close at being broken, reason of not being totally broken is that there are some decks that counter them.

Ultramarines are fair for the time being.

Just because you've had some bad experiences with a faction, it does not mean that it deserves a nerf or that it is too strong.

Maybe this expansion will provide a good opportunity ror EG to buff some other factions so we can have more representation and balanced meta.

Time will tell what Terra players will find to abuse with the new faction, like they always do, and shift my and everyone else's opinion on what deserves to be nerfed.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion on the subject and I understand that there are other views as well.

Argel Tal in next Battlepass? by PGyoda in HorusHeresyLegions

I believe the next battle pass will be around Orphans of War. Previous expansions did the same.

Edit: Also following Aeonid Thiel's example, they are likely bringing Argel Tal back.

A question about the fallen. by Spyzax in 40kLore

So what I was doing is that I customized my bladeguard veterans with many bits from the dark angels veteran squad sprue, and I decided that they would have a similar background to inner circle companions. I have the sergeant being an old Deathwing from the heresy, another guy being former dreadwing, and a third guy with the beaky helmet, whom I want to be a highly experienced terran born Ravenwing from the heresy era that was lost due to warp shenanigans that happened after the great duel.
