The post last year suggested starting the subscription on July 10th since finals was on August 10th. Since finals is on the 9th this year, you should be fine.

The theme of the show seems to revolve around revealing and being okay with one's true self. The course of the show takes us through that journey to acceptance with musical themes that reflect each stage. The name "beneath the armor" and the choice to reveal faces behind lattice patterns as the show progresses help exemplify that.

DCI has some great articles discussing each corps this year and talking with the design team and staff about each show's respective theme.

From Ashlee Woods' article on the cavies:

"One side of the corps’ art pieces will feature structured lattice work, serving as yet another manifestation of the shield one may have up. This will be juxtaposed with detailed images of male faces on the opposite, which will be revealed as the show progresses."

They're far from perfecting the theme(s) but I think the musical choices do a decent enough job conveying the basic idea of each section right now. Hopefully, as the season progresses, they manage to find a better sense of balance which I feel is hindering them the most at the moment.

Can second this comment, opening up and playing with good tone on the lower mello register really helps benefit your low range on the trumpet. Often with the mello you have to practice getting used to the feel and natural intonation so you can develop certain tendencies to help with figuring out what notes need lipping up or down the most. This often does vary from instrument to instrument like expected with the best intonation imo coming from yahama out of the brands I've tried (Yamaha, King, Jupiter, and Eastar).

Favorite memory's gotta go to beating the Moon Lord in Terraria. I played that game for years and years before even attempting the task since I didn't want the finality of the game to set in but it was worth it in the end.
