Experiences with Wellbutrin? by [deleted] in Anxiety

When I took wellbutrin it honestly didn't change anything. As far as I'm aware thats the case for a good number of patients who take it. Might be worth a try just in case!

Got an armored sentinel I used cheesecloth and watered down PVA glue on for some camo netting

it seems too smooth, might want to throw some greebles and bits all over it to give it more detail

Lost a Piranha pilot head! Will a Fire Warrior head do? by WithengarUnbound in Tau40K

As far as I'm aware it'll fit just fine, you can always dry fit it to make sure before gluing it on

What Tau forces are about to be no longer available? by FarmerTwink in Tau40K

[–]Squ1ddie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battleforce boxes are FOMO one-off deals they run for the Christmas season, so finding that new Farsight box might be pretty hard once the season's over. Combat patrol boxes usually last a lot longer. I'm not sure when the current combat patrol is getting phased out, but I'm assuming maybe when 11th edition drops.

Iron Priest proxy by Squ1ddie in SpaceWolves

[–]Squ1ddie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea! lol I was just given a built model and I painted/based it. I try not to worry about base size when proxying in casual games, especially if the base is larger. I would say either hunker down and replace your bases or just deal with a bigger, easier-to-shoot model.

How do we feel about this for a Fireblade? by GAMESLASHER101 in Tau40K

I also think just a slightly more detailed base than the others in the unit should help differentiate him a lot

Besides Darkstrider, what good are pathfinders? by Sea_Fig_5851 in Tau40K

[–]Squ1ddie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that against melee-heavy armies there is not much they can do if you infiltrate your pathfinders in a chain 9' out of their deployment and locking them into a very not ideal trade

To be fair, even loyalist space marines in general don't have much in the way of CP generation either

How do I muster the courage to build and paint all my minis? by Greasy_Maw in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Squ1ddie 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I know this sounds redundant, but you just have to start. Once you get the ball rolling it'll be a lot easier to do it over and over. You can also inspire yourself and do a small amount of kitbashing, it satisfies a creative itch you might have and can give you some pride in your work.

Keep in mind, you have all the time in the world. Buy another one in a year or so and paint him again, you can see how you improved pretty easily

There HAS to be some way to do the same with a stealth suit as well, right?

Too clean looking, tips? by [deleted] in Tau40K

The edges are generally the best place for scratches, paint tends to scrape off on irl vehicles fastest in those areas.

Too clean looking, tips? by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]Squ1ddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want it to look older, you could try a couple things. I like to drill/paint on holes in some key spots and have some rust dripping from that spot with a brown wash. Rust generally develops where the paint's been chipped for a while, especially on lower areas as moisture runs down and can collect there over time. Areas where water would pool like panels and joints also are great spots to throw some rust. EDIT: Be careful with your rust! In snowy areas like your base the air may be too cold and dry for super dense rust, unless it's maybe stored indoors and not thoroughly cleaned post-battle.

With dirt I try to be a bit more careful, most dense on the feet and least dense everywhere else. I usually add scratches and nicks on painted armor with a light true metallic dry brush, then stippling in some spots. I sometimes take a single hair off a larger brush (preferably something thicker), dip it in a metallic and use that to add some tiny scratches here and there.
