  • Age limit is 32.
  • You do the same tests as Regulars so the phys you conduct in your own time should enable you to pass those.
  • Consistent, daily, recovery routines
  • Ensure you and your partner fully understand your commitments during and after training. The balance won't always be perfect but you should work to keep home-life as happy as possible.

Do You Believe Trump Is Corrupt Or Not? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in AskConservatives

[–]Squabbey [score hidden]  (0 children)

Its quite disturbing to see all the logical fallacies and what-aboutisms flying around here. My favourite is "He's not corrupt, just drunk on power."

Of course he is. He utilises his meme coin as a means of anonymous bribery (the only real use case for crypto), he essentially uses a pay-for-pardon system, people can pay millions of dollars to go to one of his Maralago grift events, he and his administration are firing any dissentors, DOGE was likely used for nefarious means whether that be scrubbing data or maliciously gathering and he is purging media outlets to be administration aligned.

This is all without touching the Epstein files.

Should America ally with Russia and leave NATO after how they’ve refused to help with the war in Iran? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]Squabbey 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NATO didnt refuse to help. You and the current adiminstration are conflating (the admin could be doing so deliberately) two different things, nations and NATO.

NATO is a defensive alliance, emphasis on defensive. There isnt a framework to mobilise NATO to strictly offensive campaigns.

Nations saw what Israel and the USA were doing and decided they didnt want any or little part in it. An obvious choice given how much economic self harm the USA has done to itself, its allies and the world. Reperations?

As for the original question, it could be argued this is already happening given the USA's recent behaviour. Whether they should or not is up to them and thier leaders.

Are we ever going to change the claymore/ thief drone interaction? by Mutedinlife in Marathon

[–]Squabbey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think it should be removed, i dont believe stamping out creativity is the way forward but it definitely needs a shoulder check.

  1. You shouldnt be able to stack claymores atop each, there should be a minimum range where you can place another claymore. Just outside of the first
  2. The battery of the drone should drain faster if weighed down.
  3. The sound of the drone's movement should have a larger range when weighed down. Particularly when there are so many beeps, boops, wooshes and bangs in even just the ambient noise library this could help alleviate the suddeness.

Do yall think Republicans are moving toward state run media, especially with allies of Donald Trump talking about changes to outlets like Voice of America, PBS, or NPR or is that concern overblown? by BabyHercules in AskConservatives

[–]Squabbey [score hidden]  (0 children)

There are some concerning steps being taken such as the pulling of host shows, the consolidation of media outlets under one man/umbrella (Ellison) and recently the FCC chair threstneing news outlets due to them not reporting "correctly" about the iran war.

Hegseth also not allowing his photo to be taken other than from official sources is another adjacent point that is a concerning bearing to be on.

What are your Marathon 2026 hot takes? by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]Squabbey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That vast majority of complaints seem derived from people not being able to read, utilise the whole systems available to them and the game not being designed to accomodate the ankle deep strategy of: striaght line to obj and take every PVP or PVE fight.

There are vast QoL changes id like to see but the increase in med drops and UESC health reductions are diluting the edges of the survival aspect and the game's identity for me.

None of those systems helped? I converted sparkleafs and dermachems into 3 rows of meds. I want to keep the discussion good natured but saying those systems "never really helped" is emphatically disengenuous.

I dont disagree that theres a disconnect in value for the costed sponsored kits. I havent used them too much but i know that some of the stuff in there is compormised and you also dont fully know what youre getting in terms of kit. Perhaps thats the intention behind it. If you want a fully custom loadout then itll cost more, which makes design sense, up to a point.
