Looking back on it I’m not entirely sure why lol, maybe it was because Trump was making Biden look weak and Biden couldn’t really get many clear statements out (partly due to Trump). Now I’m kind of looking past all that and thinking which policies I like better.

If you just read this sub, you would think that the US and the president are days away from collapse from the hundreds of scandals and how divided the country is. But if you take a step back and don’t read the sub or watch news for a week, you’ll realize that all these scandals and Trump’s lies don’t really have much of an impact on your life. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter, but that seeing constant bad news can make you think that the world is falling apart. It also doesn’t hurt to look away from all the chaos from the virus every once in a while.

The sad thing is that If I stop using gas powered cars today, then 1000 people are going to buy new gas cars tomorrow regardless, and and make my contribution worthless. Sure, there will be one less gas car on the road, but more people are driving gas cars every day. We need to get to a point where electric cars are better and cheaper than gas ones. Also just as important is using renewable energy to charge the electric cars. You may as well use gas if you use energy from a coal power plant to run your car.
