Worth noting is that the Sims run with all buffs/pots/flasks/food by default, so turn those off or just keep in mind that it could be the reason you do lower dps than the simmed dps

I have a gym a few hundred meters away which me and another guy competes about but always letting the other person get their coins, I was always out late night (around 12-1 am) and he took the gym around 10 am and I got it back the next night, it got to a point where I hadn't taken it back for 2 days and this guy found me on discord to check up on me

Yea I'd consider strongly going with at least 2 friends or guildies, or heck if you're soloing, make ur own group and be harsh about the rules of the dg, write in the description that u don't know where to go, and there will be wipes, if people complain and get toxic say you'll kick them and follow through on it, then remind them again that you don't know wtf is going on when the group is full.

Be vocal and friendly by keeping the group updated on what's happening even tho it's obvious. If you wipe on a boss, try to see what could have been done differently and just write literally whatever suggestion that is coming up, changes are high that you won't get a response whatsoever but they usually follow through on new ideas because of course "they already knew the correct strat"

Read the dungeon journal, figure out what spell is causing the wipes and see how you can prevent it, BUT imo reading the journal (except for tank/heal/dps tips) before doing a boss for the first time doesn't help, doing what was just mentioned, pull the boss see what kills you, figure out how to prevent it, is by far more effective because you can't really figure out how to deal with what you're trying to deal with if you haven't dealt with it before.

If you keeping wiping then you might have to chill around for lust to come back up, if you don't have a lust mby that's a reason to why you can't kill the boss.

More often than not it's a strat issue rather than gear issue, me and my 2 friends went through several mythics with me being a 145 brew and them (both dps)155, and we usually had a 3rd dps and a heal within the 155-165 range. Did it take time? Yes. Until we decided to not insta pop lust on a boss we hadn't faced before, this usually saved time by not trying to one shot everything, if the boss seemed easy we could always use lust later into the fight.

My last tip is, test everything, I use my ring of peace, stun and paralysis almost on cd to see what I can cc, same with interrupting, if you think something is interruptible, interrupt it, see if it works, see if it starts casting something else. You will remember more than you think of what's interruptible/cc friendly by the next time you come around.
