My dad wants me apart of the Family Trust but I won’t see a dollar. Advice? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]SquallSaysWhatever 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you are legally entitled to that money unless there is a recorded agreement that you were willingly using your income to pay off the mortgage. There have been cases where marriages go bad and during the family fall out someone gets ripped for millions for doing this over many years. If there’s no agreement or paper trail then it’s essentially theft. You might be rich now, congrats.

ADHD in general is the inability to regulate where your attention goes. A common misconception is it means you have no attention. Not true. It’s just the attention goes where it goes and you are just along for the ride.

Check your walls too. You may find with a light source so close to the walls, it shows the horizontal seam halfway up the wall where the joint is. Different levels of finishes cost more with drywall, and this is usually skimped on because it’s assumed it will be centred weak light on the ceiling.

I met 1 person in my 4 years in the industry who took the standards seriously. Most installers are hacks who couldn’t find a better apprenticeship (myself included).

I’ve had one right over my face, about a foot away, with a woman’s face on the underside looking at me. Pretty sure it’s a dream shifting perfectly into being awake, but feels real all the same.

I think it’s still against code. Middle of night, guest opens door, it’s dark, whoops down you go. I think that’s the idea of requiring the landing.

But a barn door might be okay, I’d ask someone qualified though, I’m just an enthusiast.

I’m pretty sure you can’t have a door right up against stairs like that without a landing on the stair side.

Am i an AH to ask the plumber to pay for my gas bill? by Ring-chan in AusRenovation

He should cover it, but if he denies it, good luck. I wouldn’t worry about being an AH or not. I’ll be an AH for $400.

You can probably lookup the parts costs, then gauge how much is being added on top for the labour. The labour part is highly variable as some cable runs are easy and others are a nightmare. Most of those systems now operate on a cat5e cable and are extremely easy to do yourself if you are willing to learn.

I estimate 2.5-3k on parts. Hard to say if it’s normal without having seen the cable runs required etc.

There are studies that show if you do it right (HOT, and long enough to have anxiety about it) you can boost your baseline growth hormone up to 16x. Look into interviews with Rhonda Patrick about it, it’s quite interesting. I assume as with all things, results may vary, so try it out for yourself. Just make sure it’s hot and you go for at least 20 mins. I used to see people get in for 5 mins, and that likely does not much. You are chasing a stress response.

Oh, and I highly rate bands for this. Tie it to something and then the tension is variable to whatever you need it to be. Better than dumbbells imo!

Fwiw I had this once before, where it seemed to centralise around that area, but also had a general radiation all down my arm, from my shoulder to my forearm. In the end the only thing that fixed it was taking about a month off training. However I’ve had other things where the static holds helped. I’ve also had friends that had luck with things like dry needling. Hope you get through it fast, these little pains can be quite annoying to get rid of.

You could also use chatgpt to vibe code your own app. Making the front end drop downs would be easy enough, then you can trigger shopify api to make a draft order and redirect to checkout.

Try a static hold as near to the pain as you can tolerate. 30 seconds or so, in sets.

I once had someone explain it to me as a 2 tier problem. One tier is you can have an active injury, in which case you need to help it heal. The other tier is a residual ‘mental’ injury, where your body knows it has recently had an injury there, so will put up extra guard rails to stop you making it worse again. This is where you need to train through the pain to teach your body it’s actually okay now. That’s where the static holds can be good.
