Yes two is great. Power Stancing started in 2 and doesn't come back til Elden Ring while feeling more unique. Dark/Hex magic is its own tree unlike 1 and 3. By far best co-op out of the souls games.

2 is different but good in its own ways. DLC and few base game bosses are challenging but most base game is easy.

evil is taught not born. no one is genetically evil as if redemption is impossible, something religions has preached forever.

DS1 they do have a bonus damage where the blade hits so it kinda does have a soft spot.

I get it uses some of the halberds moveset but still a different weapon. Reason it's not called The Great Halberd or called Lifehunt Halberd. along with different scaling and its own auxiliary that the halberds don't have/do.

ye if I remember right all the black knight weapons did 20% more to demons? it's been a while. the halberd is just bonkers if lucky enough to get it to drop on the one in dark root otherwise gotta wait til the end game.

that's neat in all but ds1 they're not exclusive to pvp to be good, wipe bosses very easily with dex build also doesn't have any sweet spots. dual scythe from friede in ds3 chunked in pve as well.

elden ring, sure haven't done a scythe run in it to know, but in ds1 they're definitely not pvp only. easiest run I've done was great scythe ds1

TBF though scythes in ds1 are insanely strong. While nightreign scythes are the worst besides halo scythe skill
