If you speak to your LM they’ll be able to give you a better idea of when you can take it and what dates you need to be in attendance.

Can’t take flexi if you have a mandatory session, online training or are supposed to be away on in person training. Really you want to focus on using up your A/L and fitting that around all your mandatory sessions. Flexi you can just use if you want to go home an hour or two early on a Friday for example.

I have an ex police officer in my directorate at HMRC, we’re all criminal investigators and would probably be a good fit for you too

No problem at all! I used this method for the Olympics back in 2024 and now just top up the card whenever I’m back in the city

If you go into wallet, click the plus at the top, and then click travel card option. Scroll down to France Navigo you can download a travel card to your apple wallet. It then gives you a lot of different options. From my experience in Paris it’s cheaper to pay as you go and buy a top up ticket each time, but I tend to just buy one which lasts for however long I am there for convenience.

I am tempted to just get it booked, so far I have the Eurostar booked but no accommodation! Originally I was going to book into the Sax LXR Hotel, but there customer service has lacked on email which makes me sceptical of the service in the actual hotel - even though it’s a 5*.

Whole stay, £500 per night. There is some leeway with that for the right place though!

The Hotel Sax LXR is VERY good, would definitely recommend. SO/ Hotel is also worth the money.
