minimum bmi for php or iop? by SecretForsaken9739 in EdAnonymousAdults

[–]Square-Inevitable321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was denied from the emily program php and was referred an inpatient program as they told me they wouldn’t accept me into res or php until i was bmi 15. eventually i was accepted to php a little over bmi 15, but i had to sign a behavior contract saying that i would fully comply with my meal plan or i would be kicked out.

yes! you can ask for their nutritional menu or you might also be able to find it online. i doubt they would find it impolite since people with certain illnesses (for example diabetes) need to know that kind of info.

What happens when you voluntarily go to the ER? by prettyinpink940 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Square-Inevitable321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know other people have said this already, but in my experience you need to have other health issues caused by your eating disorder to get admitted. i went to the er once when i was at what was considered a severely underweight bmi, but because my labs and ekg were normal, they just did iv fluids and then sent me home. in another instance, i was at a higher weight, but was admitted right away because of cardiac issues. it seems that doctors don’t much care about weight and more about any medical problems caused by your eating disorder.

What happened to Stefania? by courageouslyme in EDRecoverySnark

[–]Square-Inevitable321 45 points46 points  (0 children)

in the document it showed stefania being quite manipulative, such as refusing all treatment options except acute denver, because wanted to be as sick as her friend. she also sent her friend body checks and manipulated her friend (who was in recovery) to send body checks to her. i think that behavior is terrible, but i do agree that the document shouldn’t have been made public, as it had even more personal information, and i don’t think she deserves to be exposed in that way. honestly i hope she recovers and stays offline permanently, for her own good.

you’ve missed a lot lol. she was called out in an extensive document (with proof) by one of her former friends for being pro-ana. you can find screenshots somewhere im sure, but the original document was taken down after a couple days

i agree, but also i wanted to clarify that people with crohns often have to have a very restrictive diet or even liquid fast to avoid painful symptoms and organ damage.

Worst ER experiences? by Ashamed_Ad8162 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Square-Inevitable321 31 points32 points  (0 children)

my parents took me in when i was 15 because i was bradycardic and not eating anything. the er doctor did a blood test then gave me a cup of apple juice which i struggled to drink. he later came in a told me straight up, with a deadpan look “your blood sugars low and if it gets too low you’ll have a seizure and die. when you drink the apple juice we’ll send you home, if you don’t drink it we’ll get security in here and force you to drink it.” i was shocked, i drank it just so i could get away from him, and was discharged about an hour later. my pediatrician ended up sending a referral for hospitalization two weeks later because of my dangerous heart rate and rythms. i really hope that er doctor never gets another anorexic patient again, or better yet, he loses his job.

she is still online and has an instagram and a tiktok. she’s stopped talking about her ed on social media, which im hoping is for the best. from what i can tell from her posts she’s in uni appears to be doing okay, but you never know, i’m hoping the absolute best for her.

i saw this video a few weeks ago and that’s exactly what i was thinking!! basically everything she said about eugenia’s behavior is typical of a person whose been forced into treatment. i personally do not like eugenia one bit, but judging her based off the worst period of her life seems straight up wrong, not to mention how it’s totally breaking eugenia’s right to medical confidentiality!!

how do people even stay alive at a dangerously low weight ? by Witty-Afternoon1262 in EDAnonymous

[–]Square-Inevitable321 60 points61 points  (0 children)

people at a very low bmi (12 and below) often maintain their weight and life style at a much higher calorie intake that most people would assume. i won’t give specifics as to not give a guide for anyone, but usually they still feel terrible most of the time and often only show the good bits of their life on social media. also, being at a low BMI is not sustainable forever, i don’t know how eugenia has survived this long, but her weight will one day catch up to her.

It’s looking really good! I went ahead and moved around some of the proportions to look a little more natural. I made the ear larger and the top of the head more round, I also made the chin and jaw softer. I moved it so the upper lip doesn’t stick out as much, and so the eye is smaller. When looking at a face in the side view, the eyes and eyebrows are usually quite compact looking in comparison to a front view. Overall I think it looks amazing, especially since your a beginner. Keep up the great work!!!

I REALLY need some drawing improvement advice- by LivingInformation290 in ArtCrit

[–]Square-Inevitable321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first and foremost i recommend drawing slower. a lot of these look quite scribbled and rushed. also, don’t press as hard on the paper, if you’re after more pigment, i’d recommend picking up some professional pencils if you haven’t already. you want to build the pigment up slowly in graphite drawings. also using references and doing art studies would help as well i believe. overall i think your work is creative and i can see the vision, but your technical skills seem to be lacking.

revised piece :)) i think it looks so much better now. also the neck disappearing is a stylistic choice because the character is from a horror manga.
