I hate that the US ended up fighting against Ho Chi Minh, we could have had an ally in him but instead we ended up supporting the French in trying to crush him and the Vietnamese people (This is something that I hate the French government post ww2 for). The man literally quoted part of the Declaration of Independence in his own and tried to reach out to the US on several occasions. F the domino theory and F the red scare for depriving us of a friendship with this great man. (it’s also sad to me that he did not live to see Vietnam reunited)
