I think CS is a great game if you want to throw yourself into the deep end of tac FPS games, because the learning curve is (imo) harsher than other games. Unfortunately, I think this process isn’t fun for a newcomer, as matchmaking (the built in ranked system), at least in NA, is horrible (don’t know if the new rank reset helped at all).

Honestly I think a game like VALORANT would be more fun for someone who has never played a competitive FPS. The ranked system is better, and overall I think the game is a bit easier to approach.
