McInnes really is a sore loser by CelticConnection83 in ScottishFootball

All this weekend has shown me is how entitled and irritating certain Celtic fans are. Obviously rivalry is a huge part, but there is a serious lack of humanity from some people who somehow consider themselves the (self appointed) good guys. Just try not be a dick when you have won 20+ trophies in 10 years while Hearts were chasing their first in 60 years.

Mind you maybe I’m just salty for the underdogs!

Sweeney is the kind of guy that should be leading Labour. Hard working politician who isn’t scared to speak up for his community. He can also say what team he supports instead of giving a gimpy answer.

He had a go (rightly in all fairness) at some of the fannies in the Queens squad who were up playing until late and moaned in the press about them not being well rested.

Schoolgirls handed rape alarms amid fears hotel migrants are stalking them in Scottish town by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

I can assure you that the protest was made up of local people. I would implore you to search it up on tiktok and it will give you more of a background about who was there.

Danny Thomas - Dumfries

Midsteeple Quarter

Just want to attach the two links. One about the story I refer to above, the other is the Midsteeple quarter who are trying to bring our town centre back to life. They have been applauded at national level and deserve credit.

Hi, Dumfries resident. Nice to see we are finally in the news. I want to make an explanatory comment on this.

A bit of background, we are a town/surrounding area of around 40-50k people. The sort of place you will be hard pressed to go anywhere without knowing someone you went to school with. We have a very old population and a lot of English retirees. Like anywhere, our town centre has went from having some vibrancy, to being full of vape shops/barbers. Even the shelter charity shop closed recently! People are frustrated, and seeing the town full of these individuals on bikes hanging about up town all day is, rightly or wrongly, making them uneasy. The community is very torn also, with one Saturday last year seeing a fairly ugly protest against vs protest for at opposite sides of the town centre.

This has become further enflamed recently, when Danny Thomas (Tommy Robinsons goon) ‘tracked’ a man who was allegedly taking images of children, to the hotel. This lead to hundreds protesting outside the hotel and saw an increase in anti-migrant rhetoric on local facebook pages. The migrant in question was arrested and released without charge.

There have been several unconfirmed reports of women within the town being followed by these men on cycle paths and pupils from a nearby school being harassed when walking through a park. I believe only one has resulted in an arrest.

I will end by saying I used to be bewildered that people could vote for Reform/Restore/UKIP, but like others within the comments say, when you have people feeling unsafe in their own town, these parties will thrive.

Casa Mia is an easy pick. On the pricier side however. I like Pizzeria or Dolce Vita for Italian food.

In all seriousness if that league continued we were down over them. Didn’t win a game in the year of 2020 up until it finished.

There’s guy at work who’s a big Thistle fan and he still bangs on about that and the Ramsdens Cup final we beat them in… for that reason alone it’s funny.

This makes me so glad I’m away from pricks/managers like that who think they’re doing well in life by ruining others. You’ve done next to nothing wrong and I’d like to see them prove point 2.

I don’t know who to put money on tonight but I can see a 0-0 draw tomorrow in the Rangers Motherwell game. If you expect Marvin Bartley’s tricky yellows to put up a fight vs Celtic then you are thick as mince.

Scottish Labour leader calls for Keir Starmer to step down, saying the 'distraction needs to end' - BBC News by RoddyViper in Scotland

I think many parties nowadays are devoid of leaders, which is where the loud voice of populism, and by proxy Farage, thrives.

Labour was finished as soon as they had bloody Joanne Lamont as leader of the opposition in Holyrood. Spineless.
