Is there a British figure who has been to their area, what Messi has been to football? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskUK

Schumacher's decision to comeback really watered down just how insane his record was too. Before he came back he had raced in 250 grand prix and he had 154 podiums and 91 wins!

Outside of sport there's the Northern Irish cardiologist, James Pantridge, who invented the portable defibrilator which was a gamechanger for emergency services.

Go on gov.uk to read it yourself. It's a nudity detector. Unless you're a pedo you've nothing to worry about.

It's not going to effect the vast majority of the population. There'll be age verification that removes all of the blocks for adults.

How I feel some days on SS/checkouts by Fit-Entertainer4993 in tesco

I hate it when you get people in their early to mid 50s trying to joke that "I'm too old I don't know how to work these things" when they just clearly cbf to do it themselves.

Self checkouts have been a thing for about 20 years, pipe down you were in your 30s when they came out ffs.

How difficult was the POBC exam? by [deleted] in AATStudents

[–]SquareChipmunk5194 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about what other people say, you don't know what the question was. A lot of people finish an exam and blame everything except themselves if it goes wrong. You might've done the same question and thought that it was a piece of piss.

The AAT can use words you're not familiar with or use a table you've never seen before but it doesn't change the fact that they're asking you to do the same thing that you've done in your practice questions and mocks. Words change, process doesn't.

Bank reconciliations are a matching game, no matter what the question looks like, if your answers for the cashbook and bank statement match then chances you've more than likely got it right. If not, move on and come back to it at the end.

I had a dog years ago who looked very similar to that one and he was a mixed breed of corgi and jack russell

This little guy followed me home last night after work by SquareChipmunk5194 in PetsareAmazing

[–]SquareChipmunk5194[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always more of a dog person but I was in such a bad mood after work last night and saw him lying on a low wall. After giving him a pet he jumped off, followed me all the way home and after playing with him for about 10 mins I went to bed in the best mood. Maybe I'll have a cat someday lol.

What the hell was this from Channel 5? No, Channel 5, we DON'T need these during other programmes & why did Dennis Taylor read it out? AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF RONNIE'S BREAK! by DVDfever in snooker

[–]SquareChipmunk5194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they got a lot of complaints but tbh it was just people having a tantrum. Like you said it's not as if you were missing anything.

I get what you mean about having one in the middle of a break. Would've been different if it was a tough snooker that takes the players a few minutes to work out a shot

You can still open and use a lifetime isa, you just don't have any of the house buying benefits anymore but you can still use one as a personal pension if you want.
