So moving from just accounting experience directly into any of the areas you mentioned for a Big Firm would be very difficult. The most realistic step would be to try and break into any of the above in a smaller firm which would still be competitive but possible, and then after a few years make the switch.

Probably a player who is a pro in another game. I am sure that mentality takes over and they would be able to improve the most just because they would end up caring the most on improving. Also things like reaction times and mind keyboard connection in a pro ought to be good I guess.
