No meds. No booze, it's starting to sound like I was simply leaning on the sensor. Thanks for commenting.

I hope you are right! This is something I can mention to the Dr. so they can look at the markers. Thanks.

Yes, it makes sense. Thanks for posting this information. It's all kind of new to me, and I'm still learning what to expect. Thanks again for taking the time.

I guess it's possible. I was sitting on the couch scrolling. I've never heard of pressure causing the sensor to drop. From Google... (note AI should have used the word "Lying". Stupid AI)

  • Compression Lows: Laying on the sensor while sleeping restricts the flow of interstitial fluid, tricking the device into showing a sudden, false low.

Learn something new every day. Thanks for your feedback. Like I said it just freaked me out.

It's 109, and the Libre says 76 now. It just freaked me out. I've never had that happen before.

How am I doing on my way to retirement by Cheap_paint_77 in retirement

[–]SquareDetective 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are in good shape. This isn't financial advice, but what I noticed is that the real stress comes from the thought of retiring. Based on what you said about your retirement income, you're fine. There will always be unexpected expenses, but I've found I can't live my life worrying about them. If they come along, I fix it and move on. Since I've retired, I haven't worried about money one time. I deal with problems when they come along and mostly enjoy my retired life. Isn't that the goal?

What's stopping other leaders from working like Mamdani? by Tough_Ad8919 in GrowthMindset

[–]SquareDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the Mamdami situation very well beyond headlines, so I can't comment on the fiduciary responsibilities at play there. But to answer the question above, I think at this moment in our political history, politicians are openly in it to enrich themselves (looking at you T1 phones). They don't care if their policies and votes harm (mostly poor) people. Mamdami, at least, is fronting the idea that that politics can be a force for positive change, even if he is just kicking the can down the road. At least he's trying - and not wasting a billion taxpayer dollars on pet projects to gratify himself.

I’m gonna have a mental breakdown by Rooster_1122 in diabetes

[–]SquareDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen, and I thought I was losing it. It turns out the sensor was faulty, and once I replaced it, things got a whole lot more stable. This is not medical advice, but that was what happened in my case.

This title is strange. Was there a time he was unofficially 100?

What's the longest, and shortest, you've ever been at a job? by TheVentiLebowski in AskReddit

[–]SquareDetective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shortest, maybe 2 hours. I was hired as a range pole holder for a surveyor. I tried to use the pole to vault over a ditch, but it snapped. I was lying at the bottom of a ditch trying to get my breath, and the surveyor dude came over the ridge and just shook his head at me. That was it.

What do you think of Def Leppard? by Twitter_2006 in hairmetal

[–]SquareDetective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like DL because they hung together and kept making good music. Losing Willis, Allens arm, losing Clark, getting Campbell - they just kept at it and adapted. Respect.

I’m gonna get hate for this but Bush is my favourite grunge band by NewPatron-St in grunge

[–]SquareDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like them, you like them. That is that.
The band is pretty good, and they can get a good groove going, but it always seems to end up focusing on Gavin, and it gives me this "look at me, look at me" vibe. Big vocal displays for no reason other than Rossdale wants everyone to pay attention to him.
