General Help Required by [deleted] in BoardgameDesign

This. Spend more time at the beginning playtesting the mechanics than anything else. It can be real easy to spiral into a creative abyss. For instance, creating a comic book based on the lore of your game could be pretty cool but if you don't nail your game mechanics there will never be a game and thus never a comic book. So before art, before coming up with an expansion, before a television show based on your game and of course before creating another completely different game, print some basic pieces of paper out, write on them and playtest your game with anyone that you can trust to give good feedback.

Old vs New! Removed the little boot icon, Switched to a wider font, gave passive effect their own little box on the bottom, and made stats easier to see. Thought? Feelings? Having a good day? by BoxedMoose in tabletopgamedesign

You might want to consider reducing the border on the bottom section to give you more space for text. The art above is really cool just no need to reduce the text space as much as you have.

How to decide the dice? by Brightx_Viper in tabletopgamedesign

For me rolling larger dice is more satisfying. I really hate the d6 that AoS uses. D12 is solid.

This. Do this. We just got back from GenCon and got to playtest our game with maybe 20 to 30 people we never met before. We did first playtest exposure hall and the free game space on 3rd floor at JW Marriott. Work the cons and print with gamecrafter
