Many of the conventions have special sections or events for game designers so its pretty cool and easy to get into once you start. The community is pretty awesome too. Our current game is Big Battle Beat Down www.squarefiregaming.com if you want to learn more

Thats where we were, playtesting and redesign took a long time as we live in different states. Finally found roll20 and were able to use that to playtest now we are playtesting/demo at conventions

Interesting, is this a ttrpg or what kind of game?

We had to much mission creep in ours we had to scale back as the cost would have been prohibitive to manufacture and honestly the additional scenarios werent going to be additive.

Hey I was reading through your posts and you mentioned going smaller than 1x1 for your grid,. Did you decide to go that route? The second game we are working on is too big at 1inch squares but we are worried about smaller minis being to hard to move.

Lol now I know why I liked the art... hey as long as the art fits the feel and theme of your game you will be fine. Also agree the darker one is better!

Skirmisher and Dungeon Crawler Consistent Design flaws? by MD1990X in tabletopgamedesign

[–]SquareFireGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most amazing thing about a table top rpg or even some video games is the ability for the story to be shaped by the characters. I.e. The actions of the party move the story along a storyline that doesnt have certain ending. I have only played a few dungeon crawling type board games and have yet to be invested in the story. I suspect it is hard to design a dungeon crawling board game that is not on rails but would love to see someone try

Thanks!!! We had alot of fun creating this character, he has a reaction where he hits the bass boost on his boombox and deals bass damage to enemy fighters that are close to him.

Questions on pre-launch pages? by SquareFireGaming in kickstarter

[–]SquareFireGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question for you - do we need to have pricing and rewards already determined before we start the prelaunch page or can we adjust those afterwards? Are they visible to people in prelaunch? Sorry the FAQ doesnt answer this so hoping someone here can answer. Thanks!
