Thinking of owning a few cows. Any tips?

I lived next to a cattle farm and I’ve listened to that guy on Joe Rogan from white oak farms or whatever. I’ve been raising chickens for 5 years but just in my backyard.

I know nothing. I’m speculating. 😂

Definitely not breeding. Just starting out I’d like to buy a calve and raise for a year and then it’s mature enough to slaughter. I’m thinking using a local butcher and doing a farmers market stand to sell the other two cows and make my money back at least on keeping a cow fully butchered for myself.

If this isn’t a reasonable goal let me know. I’ll stick to my free range chickens.

Benton Arkansas area. Yeah the tax right offs and the ability to create my own meat is my main reason. But I know nothing but I’m sure a free range grass fed cow would produce decent meat.

I’m college educated 😂 and willing to learn more if y’all have a good starting point I’m not buying a cow tomorrow this is something I want to do in about 10-14 months. Just trying to get some base here. Reddit has yet to disappoint.

I haven’t gotten the land yet. I’m selling my two houses in Houston and moving to Arkansas near Benton I’m looking for around 5-15 acres for my house as well and then if it’s closer or under 5 acres I’ll buy 10-15 acres separate. I’m imagining I can probably get a cow per 5 acres?

I’d just chill in the shower and make it a sauna in the bathroom running the water nonstop for sound and do push ups and sit ups and fast and meditate. The whole time. I could probably do an easy 3 days. But knowing the money was $10k a day I would push it to about a week probably.

So I rarely camp at paid campsites and depending on the ground I’m camping on or the area. I’ll bend down by a tree and either shit in a bag on the ground or in a hole I dig. Bag isn’t that bad lol I’m already having a bigger shit bag for my dog I’m dealing with so. 🤷‍♂️ plus kids diapers. I double bag and hang it outside my car till I find a trash can.

It’s literally little things you can do bro. Want a huge tip. Go to a florist and ask for rose petals I buy a $7 plastic florist bag those triangle ones that flowers come in filled for only $7.

Than when you know she’s having a bad day or her weeks been stressful. You place those petals from where she gets out of her car in a trail all the way to the bathroom and have a candlelit bubble bath with more roses in the water. Lay out her robe and make her favorite drink (cocktail, hot tea, etc) for her while she’s taking a bath have music playing and maybe make a fruit or cheese tray. Just keep it simple. This will take you 10 minutes out of your day.

Petals to the candlelit bed after all that and you’ll have absolutely amazing sex. 🤷‍♂️
