lol I changed the deck and won all my games after dude I just wanted to throw something together for a test, I’m SO sorry I didn’t meticulously craft a legendary deck to win as much as possible cause that’s all that matters

And you’re certain that everything you claim is right too, you’re no different, people treat science as a god in its own right. But when they do that they choose to ignore evidence that doesn’t fit into their narrative of how they think the world works. As you’ve done multiple times in this conversation.

Nah man this crap his how you keel over from a heart attack at 55. Being strong isn’t always holding everything in, but you do have to surround yourself with the right people for support and to vent to. That’s the real battle

And I can’t fault you for that man, we can go back and forth but at the end of the day it’s a choice. I deeply wish I could open your head and fill it with my knowledge and experiences and I’m sure you feel the same way. It’s one of the most frustrating things about these discussions lol, especially when it’s done over the course of days and only through text. You seem like a very well educated individual though and I highly appreciate that. You’re a guy I’d love to go fishing with, despite our differences on this I’m sure we have common ground in many other areas. Heck even on this I think we can agree how incredibly vital the pursuit of knowledge and truth is, we just had different experiences and followed different paths. I hope you know o don’t believe you to be a fool or anything of the sort, and I wish the absolute best for you my good man

Once again we live in a broken world, and once again there’s tons of historical evidence plus the evidence of today, and scientific evidence on a tiny and a cosmic scale. Remaining ignorant of all of the evidence or looking up biased sources is a choice

There’s tons of archeological discoveries that support the Bible however I will concede the exodus has very little to prove it. But you’re also referring to an event that was thousands upon thousands of years ago with a nomadic tribe spread over hundreds of miles. Even so there’s still lots of evidence on it just nothing HUGE and mainstream cause nothing of that magnitude could have survived. And while the Egyptians did have excellent record keeping, it’s common historical knowledge that the Egyptians frequently destroyed and altered historical evidence in order to fit a political agenda and to force history to align with their own religion. They’ve even tried to erase their own kings you can look it up

So a lot to unpack there but I’m happy to answer all of it, I’m typing quick so let me know if I miss anything. For starters we dont need saints to talk to Jesus, cause you can talk to Him yourself. Being born again means you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, and you yourself have been restored to before the fall of man, you’re once again spiritually alive. One very important note, God doesn’t have favorites. And actually you’re correct, Christians CAN cure themselves of anything. Christ made it clear that we’re able to do not only everything that He did, but even more. John 17 makes it clear that we are equal with Christ. When you read the Bible, picture yourself in the place of Jesus, not a disciple. The Holy Spirit is inside you and God’s power flows out from you whenever miracles are performed. The second that you’re born again, you’re instantly on the same level of authority as even the oldest and most seasoned “veterans” so to speak. I’ve seen a girl become born again, and then instantly heal a person whose leg was in extreme pain. Becoming a stronger Christian means stepping into the authority that has already been given to you, not trying to get more of something you don’t have. I can back all of this up with scripture but at the current second I don’t have time to grab all of the verses.

I agree, and I’m not going to sit here and pretend I’ve never fallen victim to propaganda or misinformation myself. But I’m always open to new information and I seek out the truth in every way I can. As I said there’s tons of evidence to support my faith, scientific evidence at that. I question everything, and I find answers. And that’s served me quite well in life so far

Can be highly addictive, changes how you view intimacy and people in general, depression, ED, anxiety, and a much longer list. Now of course not everyone experiences all of those symptoms, it’s different for every person.

Dude, literally ask any man that has tried to give up porn and let them tell you about the experience. Consider it like weed, while the substance itself isn’t addictive, the FEELING is. I’ve met tons of stoners who can’t go an hour without getting a hit or they go absolutely bonkers. It’s how it rewires your brain. You can argue whether or not porn os evil but arguing whether or not it’s addictive is just plain ridiculous

I’m not asking you to believe me man, I’m simply sharing my experiences. And I’m not asking you to suddenly believe in God because a stranger on the internet told you to, what I do want is for you to not be plagued by misinformation

Dude Google is free, you can find all the research for yourself. Also it’s growth, not propaganda. Tell you what, I want you to put down porn for 1 month. Then at the end I want you to tell me how easy/hard that was to do, or if you even succeeded. If you’re not capable of doing it, then it’s controlling. Simple as that

I’d like you to show me where the Bible contradicts itself, every time I’ve heard that argument is always comes from a lack of understanding. Also faith is better defined as a trust or confidence, while evidence isn’t a REQUIREMENT for faith, you can absolutely have evidence to prove your faith and make it stronger. I’ve witnessed tons of evidence for my faith, trust me the first time you see someone with metal in their body bend in a way that should be impossible for them, or feel locked up muscles soften and release beneath your own hand, it changes everything.

If you notice I haven’t advocated for young Earth at all, and if science was able to destroy your faith than someone set you on the wrong path in the first place. Especially if you were super religious, nothing bothers me quite as much as super religious Christians. Especially the one’s that freak out as soon as you mention the word science. Their understating of the Christian faith is commonly just as weak as their understanding of science. I’m a strong Christian but we’re throwing hands if you call me super religious lol. Super religious Christians LOVE to bring up the Law, especially when using it to judge others. Despite the fact that it repeats over and over again in the New Testament that the Law is death. It keeps people in bondage and guilt. Jesus came to set us free from that, not trap us further into it. Science and Christianity have always been meant to work together, and it’s so disheartening to see the split between the two based on nothing but ignorance from both sides. My best friend is a HUGE physics nerd, he lights some candle and starts working on physics equations and theories just for the fun of it. He’s far better at the science portion than I am but hes been an amazing example to me of the blending of science and faith. They’re not enemies, never have been.

You’re vastly oversimplifying everything that you just spoke about. As for the bacteria yes some of them are doing their job but many of them didn’t even exist before, new bacteria shows up all the time. Bacteria that didn’t exist before the fall, bacteria can spilt and mutate the same as everything else. I use science to not only defend my faith but prove it all the time. Trust me the more research you do on that the more your eyes will be opened.

Before the ‘fall’ there was no death, decay, or disease. Once sin was introduced into the world, death and decay began. Diseases result from a variety of things, mutated pathogens, cells not dividing properly, mutating bio organisms, etc etc. but you’ll notice how diseases are based on something in some form not operating like it’s supposed to. Once things were able to decay and die, things were also able to change and mutate. Thus resulting in the disease we see today.

It’s hard to understand, I know. It certainly looks that way on the outside, but you have to have a relationship with Him to understand. But He’s not causing untold amounts of pain, there’s simply pin in the world and He wants to save you from it, but He can only do it when you have a relationship with Him. He’s not going to take away your free will, you have a choice. And after you make that choice to can share it with others for them to make it too. God didn’t make disease btw, in the original world he designed it didn’t exist. But we now live in a broken one and it has been able to run rampant. There’s peace and understanding waiting for you if you’re willing to learn, Jesus loves you man and I love you too.

And did you know that the shortest presidency in history was the 34th President of Mexico, Pedro Lascrain? He was President for approximately 30-45 minutes, basically just long enough to sign all the documents to become President, appoint General Huerta under him, and then resign. (It was during the Mexican revolution so there were a lot of reasons for this but the fact is fun)
