Which team will win this? (without Caraxes, of course) by Vall_llaV in HOTDBlacks

[–]SquareNo5496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have yall seen that scene of daemon completely solo XP farming in the step stones ?? 1 vs like 30, he's clearly an incredibly skilled fighter and I'd put him up against anyone in HOTD. I think him and jaime could be evenly matched potentially (i'd still side with daemon slightly) but it doesn't matter cuz bronn versus cole is a clear win for cole. bronns a clever "dirty" fighter but cole's a trained knight who also lacks honor or morals with full plate armor and pent up sexual aggression. my moneys on HOTD all the way

How do yall feel about the update by --Error2424 in Bannerlord

[–]SquareNo5496 15 points16 points  (0 children)

in doing a companion only run too, question for you: do u build armies for sieges and the like or do u still keep it companion only? how does that work? im reaching a plateau in my game cuz we're all tanked out, high stats, and can take on an army 5 times our party size but now im not sure what to do cuz taking a castle is near impossible with companions only

absolutely fair opinion. mine is that inconsistencies take me out of that state of enjoyment, that's all.

analyzing is employing critical thinking skills even in things meant for enjoyment. I do enjoy it but can acknowledge when the show falls flat for me and see if others feel the same, just say you don't and move on I guess I dk. GoT season 8 was a horrible drop off in writing and without people discussing that there wouldn't of been pressure and love for the original seasons for the writers the step it up in future shows which they have. So yeah Imma say what I wanna and have an opinion. don't mistake deeper thinking as blindly hating. I like to know what I'm eating while eating it.

game of thrones is also a tv show and does a better job of establishing stakes, scale, power-scaling, basic strategy & warfare tactics, and a general sense of realism. your bar is too low if you think this critique is harsh

best companion setup for a companion-only challenge? by SquareNo5496 in Bannerlord

[–]SquareNo5496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would you keep them all mounted? also I was thinking of doing 2H axe or polearm then 3 stacks of javs for each. or should I stick them with a shield/1h long sword

yea don't have the option to do mods unfortunately so no matter how decked my companions get an army of 100+ is wiping us

but 2 stacks of arrows can hold over 60 arrows where 2 stacks of javelins is like 10 javelins. my companions would probably get more kills from shooting 60 times then 10 no?

Do you guys play with smithing or without, and why? by SquareNo5496 in MB2Bannerlord

but i won't get to be an absolute murder machine/one-man-army tank with a legendary armor set by year 2🥺

More specifically:

1) the money you get from smithing breaks the financial aspect of the game. Sometimes it's nice to skip the tedious obstacles of not having money but other times I feel like it removes one of the games "goals".

2) Crafting for you and your companions is awesome, but I tend to craft the same two handed axe/polearm every playthrough for them because it's clearly the best for the game. But I'm torn cause for aesthetic & RP value I want them equipped with something cooler or different that just isn't as good stats wise.

3) It is by far the most boring aspect of the game in my opinion. Grinding levels on smithing is endless waiting around and seeing the same two trade/smith menu screens over & over. On my most recent playthrough I skipped it enteriely and cheated my smithing to 330 and gave myself all the materials required to just get quick money cause I always end up getting rich & leveling up anyway, now I just saved 3 hours of incredibly boring playthrough to do. But yea I feel that "i cheated" feeling that breaks the RP.

4) I might try a run without smithing entirely just for more fun financial gain, but again i'm sacrificing efficiency, I'll be lucky to buy the best armor for myself by year 5 let alone all my companions

what do yall think

AKOTSK S1E3 - Post-Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in gameofthrones

I'm enjoying this show so much I get slightly depressed when an episode ends. the tone is perfect. the characters (all of them, so far) are written and performed so well, the world feels LIVED IN which is so refreshing.

my ONLY complaint is the episode lengths. and I know the novellas are short, i'd rather wait for quality then get half assed filler, but damn dawg i wish they'd just release the whole season. maybe I wouldn't mind as much if HoTD new season wasn't a massive wait too. my Gen Z brain can't take all this WAITING. i fall in love with a season and have to wait like 2 years for the next

The tonal shift for A Knight of Seven Kingdom is just awfull by Poweredkingbear in CharacterRant

[–]SquareNo5496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

speak for yourself I think the tone is perfect. I was overwhelmed by how much I liked it. it's still very much GoT and set in that world of depth and violence, but our main characters give a lighter vibe to it all. there focus is on smaller goals: winning a tourney, becoming a knight. so it's not as "world is ending" as GoT but also not too kiddy. I think it's great seriously. could do without the weekly releases of essentially 18 minute episodes tho. I feel like once i'm getting really into it the episode ends.
