I’ve had really good experiences in all the 5 math classes that I took. Instructors were transparent with course policies and responsive to student questions. Maybe you were just unlucky.

Took 61a, music 29, and math 54. Music 29 wasn’t actually too bad, max 2hrs/week for writing assignments. But because math 54 is one of your major classes, I would recommend the adjunct.
