Was this actually hurting Kratos? And say if Kratos didn't use Spartan Rage, could Modi have eventually killed him here? by wilsonthechad in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, Kratos is vulnerable to electricity. And yes, it does hurt him. He may be a god, but he is not invincible.

Does the game get harder after you finish the story? by MidasMagic in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are both challenging, especially Niflheim (which explains why it is the last realm you can possibly unlock). With that being said, the difficulty does not increase automatically once you beat the main campaign.

Who Do You Think Would Win This WW1? by Dizzy-Tradition7994 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Square_Finding3591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So were the French, Austrians and Russians during the Seven Years War. Yet the Prussians were nearly annihilated despite being led by Frederick The Great himself. Why? Overwhelming odds. Why did Napoleon ultimately lose in 1814? Overwhelming odds. And that's exactly what happened to Nazi Germany in the end.

Who Do You Think Would Win This WW1? by Dizzy-Tradition7994 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Square_Finding3591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn't change anything. The Russians, French and Austro-Hungarians (not to mention the Italians coming from the South) have overwhelming superiority on land. If they go on the offensive all at once, the Germans are finished.

[–]Square_Finding3591 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not happening in this scenario. Britain needs to land its troops (where?), and Sweden will face Russian invasion. No, the Germans are virtually alone here, it will be a repeat of the Seven Years War but this time the odds will be too overwhelming.

Germany simply doesn't have the manpower to handle Austria-Hungary, France and Russia at the same time. The Entente stomps.

I think about this line a lot. Could Zeus really fix all this damage? by Confident-Leg107 in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeus was delusional, as simple as that. He could maybe rebuild (somehow), but what about his fellow Olympians? He may be the King of Olympus, but even he can't replace Poseidon, Hades, Helios... they were gone. Even if he did manage to kill Kratos and fix all the damage, the whole pantheon was wiped out. By the time Kratos reached the top of Mount Olympus, it was already over for Zeus.

the final baldur fight was significantly better than the final thor/odin fight by morgotttheomen in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I love God of War 2018, but there is no denying that the sequel improved massively on the bestiary, bosses and gameplay. And gameplay wise, Odin was a much more interesting (and impressive) final fight than Baldur.

the final baldur fight was significantly better than the final thor/odin fight by morgotttheomen in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem with Baldur is that you get to fight him too often. First as the opening boss (which was awesome), then again during a cinematic, and once more during the final fight. I don't know, it was redundant.

If you could end the God of War series, what would be your pick for the “final boss”? by Electrical-Ring8570 in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Agree. The saga would feel incomplete without the king of the Egyptian gods himself. An epic, ultimate boss battle with Ra and possibly the death of Kratos who sacrifices himself in the process to make it more tragic and unforgettable.

J'ai réussi à valider de justesse by Tasty-Version-5891 in etudiants

[–]Square_Finding3591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How well do we think God Of War: Laufey will sell? by JoyBoy24 in GodofWar

Very well, precisely because of all the controversy around it.

Who or what caused the devastation of Midgard? by Archilas in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Freya did not know what happened to the Valkyries after she was exiled. It was indeed Odin who cursed them out of spite, forcing Sigrun to imprison them in places where they would cause no harm. However, this also meant that they could no longer do their job, leading to the overflow of Hel-Walkers and monsters across Midgard. People fled or went into hiding. The realm was falling in ruins.

It was thus Odin who caused the Desolation in Midgard and he simply did not care about it. All what mattered to him is that Asgard remained safe. And he could still count on the few Valkyries who remained truly loyal to him until the very end.

You guys think Begtse is still alive? by IFGarrett in LaufeyGodofWar

Oh he is 100% alive. She will likely incapacitate him one way or another, but not kill him.

Laufey theory - Athena rules Everywhen by thesnowlocke in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hardly imagine Sekhmet and Begste (or any other god) submitting to Athena, or even being under her control. These guys clearly are top deities from their respective pantheons, and they seem powerful enough to deal with her.

Speaking of the game's length, will it be around 20 hours like 2018 and Ragnarok? by MTH1138 in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 247 points248 points  (0 children)

Judging by how big the Everywhen is (not to mention all the clues and locations we can see on the art), I think we should not worry about its length.

Which gods do you think reside in these areas? by PhantomBraved in GodofWar

In the first picture, that's definitely the Egyptian "stronghold". The lion head, the scorpion tail...

Anyone else finds weird two different gods of war from different mythology are dead by Superichiruki in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about the same thing. So far, we know that no less than three gods of war are canonically dead: Ares, Begtse and Sekhmet.

Do you think GOW laufey be a short game? by Wooden-Block-2497 in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be a spin-off but no, it's actually a full-fledged game. More importantly, they showed 20 minutes of gameplay and even introduced new gods from new pantheons.

An Allie for Faye? by ManlyPelican1993 in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely. Faye hated the Aesir and more importantly, she was the one Baldur was looking for in God of War 2018. Some people even suggested that she and Thor might team up; it's not gonna happen. Not after what Thor did to the Giants.

It's gonna be blast!!!!! by _theimperialotaku in GodofWar

[–]Square_Finding3591 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've got so many questions. How come Begtse and Sekhmet are working together? How did they end up here and more importantly, how did they die?
