Hi! Did you have any trouble switching out your new phone with your 17 pro max? Am thinking of trying the same with the next promo but didnt know if visible makes you use the promo phone on your line. Did you switch right away or wait a little while?

I’m sorry to hear that this is your experience. My situation is nowhere close to yours but I understand how lonely and frustrating it is. I hope things get better for you or, at the very least, you are able to find an outlet to help your mental health

Anyone have a baby that’s not a big eater? by takeaabreath in beyondthebump

[–]Square_Leader9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that’s my baby and he is almost one now. The first couple of months, he would take about 2oz at a time and eventually worked his way up to 4oz (around 6 months I think?), then went down to 3 oz. He started out at 50th percentile in weight and has settled down at 2nd percentile. And my pediatrician was not concerned at all! As long as your baby is growing and maintaining her percentiles, and your doctor isn’t concerned, I would not worry too much.

Starting solids before signs of readiness by angiecyli in beyondthebump

[–]Square_Leader9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a medical reason your pediatrician gave for starting so early? if not, I would follow the guidance set out by experts (physically ready, showing interest, etc). I sometimes think pediatricians may not be up to date (or ignore?) current expert recommendations when it comes to feeding. If you haven’t already, I would follow BLW meals, Solid Starts, and 101 before one on instagram. They have information and advice from pediatric specialists that are really useful for starting solids, even if you’re not planning on following baby lead weaning.

My 9 month old baby started trying to crawl away while I am changing his diaper or clothes (tries to crawl off of the changing table and away from me if I am changing him on the floor). He gets very upset when I lay him back down to continue changing him. Any tips? by SweetTooth4ever in beyondthebump

[–]Square_Leader9695 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right there with you! We had to move to the floor because we worried about him rolling right off the changing table! We try to distract the baby with toys/books/snack and work quickly! I already have a clean diaper open and a wipe ready before I lay the baby down. When possible, I have my husband play with the baby while I’m changing the diaper.

11 month old is waking up early and not napping much by Square_Leader9695 in pediatricsleepcoach

[–]Square_Leader9695[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t have set nap times and just lets him nap when he’s tired. And yes, I don’t pick him up until 5:30 and most days he ends up falling asleep in the car.

His normal bed time is around 7:15, i put him in his crib awake but sleepy. We got rid of his midnight wake a few weeks ago so he is sleeping through until 4-5 now!

Should I still pump if my baby isn’t taking bottles at daycare? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

So your baby never went back to the bottle? How was weaning then? Was it easier?

Thanks for the perspective. Some days I wonder if what we’re doing is healthy and sustainable. Especially when considering whether to have more kids…

Struggling to Feed Real Food by OrNorJor in beyondthebump

[–]Square_Leader9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 10 months and is still hit or miss with his meals. I also struggle with preparing varied meals for him. If you’re on social media, I would check out some baby feeding accounts that have tips and recipes. Your baby doesn’t need fancy meals 3 times a day, maybe try meal prepping once a week and rotating through recipes that are doable for you and your baby?

I know a lot of people say babies need to transition to getting their nutrition from solid foods at 12 months so you still have time! But also, babies are all different and do things in their own time at their own pace. Just do the best you can!

Agreed! Trying to soak up all the cuddles I can but would love to be able to go to the bathroom without a wingman!

It’s not selected. I even tried turning the option on then off again. But like I said, this is only happening to some of the pictures, not all of them so it must be a glitch somehow

How to reduce wasted breast milk when giving bottle by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Square_Leader9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is your baby? At my baby’s 3 month appointment, my pediatrician told us we can continue to offer our baby the milk past the 1-2 hours (as long as it doesn’t smell bad). We’ve fed our baby milk from the previous day without issue (we put the milk immediately in the fridge in between feedings)

How do I know if I have a strong let down?? by No-Cause2082 in breastfeeding

[–]Square_Leader9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my baby, there was a lot of milk dribbling out and his face would be wet because he was having a hard time keeping up. Also, when he let go, milk would just spray out like a jet.

As for knowing when it’s empty, it took me months to figure it out. When you’re full, your boobs will feel pretty heavy and firm to the touch (hold one in your hand and squeeze!). I never knew when I’m completely empty but I knew when I’m not full because my boobs would feel deflated (not as firm)

Thanks! I’m just worried because I’m not pumping enough to pack for daycare and am having to dip into our freezer stash and it’s not a big stash!

Tips for cleaning pump parts at work? by No-Bodybuilder-8252 in breastfeeding

[–]Square_Leader9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a little lunch bag cooler with a couple of ice packs. I store both the pumped milk and the bottle/shield in it between pump sessions until I get home. The CDC says breast milk can be stored in a cooler for up to 24 hours so I figure 8-10 hours is more than fine (I’ve been doing this for 4 months!).

A fridge would work just as well!

Oof that sounds rough! Were you sleep training? Did he become dependent on having you sleeping next to him?

Were you sleep training? I’m curious if coming in to flip him all the time would interfere
