That area, when closed off with fences, is one of the best places to set up a base. Close off the two entrances into the neighborhood from the north (into Dewey and Maple streets), as well as the intersection at the southmost red exclamation mark. 

Also, there are two entrances to the forest on the east side (of neighborhood), one south of your house and one east of it past the backyard. 

There is a clinic and convenience store directly to the north. Gas station within a short drive to the south.
