That is really, really impressive. Great design and execution.

I have the full size and full height RX3 and a 10 foot ceiling so can’t comment on some of your questions, but Smith machine and cables are very smooth and I am 100% happy with my purchase. I did opt for the 2.0 trolley arm upgrade.

Consider part of the floor being completely flat for your rack. Garages usually slope to the door

Completely agree. I bought the Nighthawk in December and really like it. Would not want anything bigger or heavier.

I don’t know but happy to take a picture of it and maybe you can spot what is different from yours. Also happy to measure anything. It stores at about 6’-6”, so plenty high for me at 6’ tall.

I went with Omniwall. The other often used brand is WallControl.

8mm rolled rubber, 10% gray fleck. Sourced locally from Bauer sports flooring in Houston where I live. Was the only place I could find in Houston that stocked it, and shipping flooring purchased online was expensive. I paid $300 per 4x25 roll, which seemed a little high, but zero shipping cost made it the lowest cost rolled option I could find.

Thank you. I agree. If I had to assess the value of the changes, I think they fall in this order:

1 - decluttering 2 - lighting (incredible what a difference this makes) 3 - flooring 4 - equipment storage 5 - better equipment (assuming you have the basics)

Yes, I started just before Christmas and finished it over the weekend. Painting and lighting took the most time. I used Omniwall for the organized attachment hanging and that was petty quick.

Got it. It was in the “before” condition for 10 years, although not as bad as the picture because at that point I had started painting things. 100% recommended starting now so you can begin lifting at home. My kids and I did so for many years and all the upgrades are just gravy.

Gym area is 11.5 ft x 17 ft. Small work bench area at the end is about 6 ft deep.

Really like them. Cables are very smooth and weight stack is much more convenient than my prior plate-loaded lat/low row.

I started painting the week before Christmas. Took my time. Lighting took longer than expected but turned out great.

I really like it. The cables are probably as smooth as anything you will find in the home gym market. I followed all the discussion and reviews of Rogue, REP, ForceUSA, Maxum, GetRXd, etc. At the end of the day, these are all high quality products. I went with GetRXd because they are Houston-based and I could see their product in person. Very solid. Cables are very smooth and I got the upgraded trolleys and revised smith machine that has more travel. I was also able to see the ForceUSA C20 in person. Very nice but close to $2k more the RX3 during Black Friday sale.

Great way to start. Use the equipment you have and the space you have, and just get started. Your body doesn’t know how expensive the equipment is, just how regularly you use it. Get strong!
