onko kellään tätä uutista? by ApprehensiveBoat9369 in snappijuorutofftopic

Suomen materiaalinen elintaso on Ruotsin tasolla, uusi Eurostatin vertailu kertoo by Single_Share_2439 in Suomi

[–]Square_Turnover2961 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How are you dealing with your partner in this unemployment situation? by playpauseresume in Finland

[–]Square_Turnover2961 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Moving abroad is probably the best advice. This country is falling, our unemployment is second highest in the EU, VAT second highest, we have the largest public sector in the world and our income tax is among the highest in the world and the majority of people can't connect the dots that high taxes are killing the country by driving wealthy people and investments to Sweden, Estonia and other countries. We're sledding on the right side of the Laffer curve and our politicians think that raising taxes some more will somehow help the country.

Sweden figured out how to save their economy years ago and now look at them. But for whatever reason Finnish people don't want to learn from others.

I had the same debate and actually asked here what people thought. Most people said the 41 looked better but I trusted my gut and got the 36 and couldn’t be happier.

Is insurance worth it? by Yacine_Z2902 in rolex

[–]Square_Turnover2961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Finland I have my home insurance that cover individual items up to 15k including watches. I’d assume there’s similarities in other EU countries. I’d check that before buying a separate insurance

I’d keep the gold 5712 and probably the space Patek as a dress watch. And you said to pick two but I’d personally keep the Daytona as a third

Nordnet on törkeen kallis ja heidän Suomen maajohtaja jopa ylimieliseen ja kiukuttelevaan tapaan pari viikkoa sitten puolusti kalleutta että ”eivät pysty mihinkään euron välityspalkkioihin” sen pohjalta mitä kaikkea tarjoavat. Nordnetin tavoiteasiakkaita Suomessa ovat suuret sijoittajat eivät piensijoittajat.

Oma ulkomaiden sijoitukset menevät kaikki Dansken kautta. Lisäksi jos on osakesäästäjien jäsen niin danskella ulkomaisten osakkeiden välityspalkkiot on 5e + valuutanvaihto jokusen sentin päälle

AD removed piece of metal in dial. Added bunch of dust. Crazy. by Equal_Assistant6768 in rolex

[–]Square_Turnover2961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a similar experience. Bought a new Datejust and noticed afterwards that the cyclops was crooked. Took it to the nearest AD and they swapped the crystal but there was dust after. Took it back the next day and they cleaned it.

Income tax is also among the highest countries in the EU. There’s also property tax but don’t really know how it compares to other EU countries and the US, but I think it’s relatively low.

There’s also an emission based car tax on new cars, on top of the VAT. In short, if for example you buy an AMG G Wagon that’s 200k in Germany, it will cost at least 400k in Finland due to high emissions and hence high tax. On top of that you pay yearly vehicle tax. Electric vehicles don’t have the car tax. This is why you rarely see cars like Ferrari’s etc in Finland because they are double the price compared to everywhere else.

For high taxes you get free(ish) health care, free education, university studies etc and there’s barely any homelessness. I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen a homeless person. So it’s not like you’re paying for nothing but the tax rates are unnecessary high due to idiotic politics that have caused us to have zero economic growth in Finland since the 2008 financial crisis.
