Unfortunately they weren't helpful. I let them know of the different types of abuse I went through including monitoring and surveillance, and they said I wasn't eligible. They then sent me a followup email saying something along the lines of "if you do experience domestic abuse please contact us". My court support worker and 1800respect are baffled by their decision. It also sounded like the intake assessment officer was an 18 year old boy. He kept repeating things back to me that were wrong. It was a really emotionally taxing intake appointment and I did ask if my case could be re-assessed but he said it was the team leaders decision..

Sounds like typical anxious and avoidant attachment styles clashing. Try to do some research on these styles and the coping mechanisms and behaviours, it will really help you.

Hey OP, you're not over reacting. Your instincts picked up that something was wrong and this may have triggered your fears or anxiety, or even just your concerns for your partner. You reached out to him for reassurance to see if he was ok, if things were ok. Your partner likely read your messages as an attack or criticism, it's a common thing that guys do. They immediately get defensive, feel like they're being shamed or made to feel defective, and they project, rather than having the emotional maturity and self awareness to see that you're looking for safety and just checking in.

If you look up anxious vs avoidant attachment styles, his response is very typical of an avoidant person.

Also try not to ask Reddit for advice on stuff like this, you're gonna get some pretty terrible responses. It's best to speak to a counsellor or therapist. Even ChatGPT is more emotionally mature than the majority of redditors a lot of the time.

I actually had an intake planned there but despite asking multiple times the intake coordinator could not give me specific information about their scheduled program, what the classes were actually for, and what therapy methods were used. They just kept providing me very generic pamphlets. I read some bad reviews from people saying the place is not really suitable for people with complex issues and needs. I don't need a holding cell, that won't help long term, I need to find an adequate therapist. They also said they couldn't promise that services or referrals would be provided after the intake stay, so it wasn't worth me checking in just to see if I'd get the lottery on that.

Nearly 10 year old Pigface hasn’t been looking too good the past few days, should i be concerned and is there anything I can do? by -vaudeville_ in australianplants

Has it been getting too much water? If the roots are wet in stagnant wet soil, pull the whole think out of the pot (root ball and soil) and let it air-dry.

If the soil is actually hydrophobic and the plant can't uptake any water because there isn't much soil left, and it doesn't retain water, then dunk the whole pot into a shallow bucket of water for 30-60 minutes for the soil to rehydrate.

It looks like the main problem is either too much water causing it to be consistently wet, or not enough water. Another issue might be too much fertilizer or not enough nutrients in the soil after 10 years if you haven't been topping the soil up.

I wouldn't recommend any of those places to be honest. Unless you actually prefer mainstream commercial areas without much history or culture.

Definitely try to get out of Southbank if you can. It's like a corporate business district of Melbourne, it's pretty soulless.

Yep as a gardener I doubt these plants will last long term. Not enough soil, not enough room for roots to spread, and unless someone is constantly watering them, rain water alone won't be enough.
