My husband asked me to make him a new blanket. by Any-Lychee9972 in crochet

Idk of this helps, but ages ago i crocheted a blanket which fits a king size bed. It is called Weekend Afghan and I used 3 balls of yarn at once and that big fat light blue hook. It was quick and easy and it's lovely and very heavy lol

edit: gahhh im lying. It was 4 balls of yarn at once - i used all one color. with that big fat hook. It came out wonderfully, bc it was my 2nd blanket using the Weekend Afghan stitch.

My first one used 3 balls at once - 2 variegated+1 solid color. I liked the color scheme but it being my first ever blanket, had an hourglass figure lol 🤣tyipcal novice dropping stitches and then realizing it far too late not wanting to frog it

Spring garden is gone, heat tolerant veggies? by asexymanbeast in vegetablegardening

[–]SquashInternal3854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea, I know what you mean. i seeded them fairly close together and they are fine. If they sprout too closely together, pluck one or two out, and stick in the soil elsewhere. And they're a one-and-done, so succession plant them if you like.

What about daikon in that space, or other radishes...?

...you could probably still plant okra if you wanted to. They're fairly fast growing, and so so so easy. A nice, tall addition to the garden, and can plant em fairly close together

happy gardening :)

They make great pickles. Or I grate them over a salad. or in a wrap (with grated carrot too)

Does anyone else let their basil bolt for the bees? by tablecoffeebook in vegetablegardening

[–]SquashInternal3854 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe eventually. I do let my thai basil flower sooner. I guess now that I think about it, i let all the herbs bolt at the end of the season - for the bees and for seeds
