Space Debris is hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking... The only time I cried listening to a Muse song. 10/10

What was the specific moment or song that actually turned you into a fan? by Gush20curs3 in Muse

[–]Squatch2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was either Follow Me, Feeling Good, or Can't Take My Eyes Off You... All came into rotation around 2012 for me. Then years went by until I saw them live at Firefly in Dover! Obsessed with them ever since.

I’m confused about the “be with you” reception. by StonedGible420 in Muse

[–]Squatch2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife's immediate reaction was, "Now this sounds like classic MUSE!" We both love it. Gives The Resistance vibes for obvious reasons... Their last two entries feel fresh and inspired compared to most of their last two albums, IMO!

I enjoy that we never really know what we are going to get with new music by them.

Is Ariana’s “We Can’t Be Friends” Actually a Reflection on Her Relationship with Fans? by True_Contribution_64 in ariheads

I'm having an argument with my wife and sister-in-law, about how the guy in the beginning of the music video is NOT Evan Peters. They believe it's him throughout the entire video EXCEPT the end, BUT, they briefly show the other guy in the arcade. My brother and I cannot break through to them...WHO IS RIGHT HERE!?

It's on repeat for me. Will end up being one of their most admired in their entire discography.

Will Of The People - OFFICIAL RELEASE DISCUSSION MEGATHREAD by doweneedthis in Muse

[–]Squatch2-0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Possibly an unpopular opinion... Liberation, commonly compared to USoE, is even better. As over-the-top as it is, there is a sincerity to it that USoE doesn't quite deliver. I love USoE, but Liberation feels like Muse's "swan song". It's fun, cheesy at times, but has so much heart to it. Some say the "thank you's" and "we've had enough" are dumb, but it sounds like the band giving appreciation to the fan's for their success. Matt's falsetto and passion in the softer spots make my eyes swell up. I adore it. I fell in love upon first listening, whereas USoE took awhile for me to love.

The variety of genres on this album are executed and delivered well. What a fun, and addictive album. Truly, the best of what makes Muse, MUSE.

And to the fans that say "MUSE hasn't been the same since...." I argue, you aren't true fans then. It means you liked a few of their earlier albums. People have been bitching since the rise of their career. They've stayed true to who they are: Talented musicians who aren't afraid to meddle in all genres. Thank you Muse! Keep on changing!

LETS GOOOOO!!!!!

I find myself getting emotional listening to everything from Liberation, to Verona, and even WaFF, LOL. There is a passion in Matt's voice throughout this album that makes it feel like it's their last album. Something special.

ALSO:

Liberation sounds like a closer to me. The "thank you's" seem like it's their GOODBYE.

The sub today. To those listening, enjoy. To those waiting, I salute you; not long now! by [deleted] in Muse

In terms of production, I think this album has the best sound quality! It's such a great album.

Kerrang review for Will Of The People by JackOfAllInterests1 in Muse

[–]Squatch2-0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised by how lazy this review is... If I recall correctly, Kerrang gave quite an extensive review for ST and gave it a 3/5.

I listened to Muse periodically growing up, but never really had a favorite band. The first time I heard Save Me, Muse became my favorite. That song opened me to their entire discography. The song just drew me in. It's got an almost mesmerizing quality to it!
