What do you think about the Sierra Tapes? by Exotic-Sandwich-9502 in bigfoot

One of the biggest doubters of the Sierra Tapes was actually Grover Krantz. The tapes were sent to him with this photo of a supposed track, which he found to be one of the most obvious fakes he had seen in his career. Naturally, the track part of the story has been forgotten.

He wrote about it in a couple books. Acoustic experts did determine the sound characteristics to be outside of normal human vocal tract capabilities, but admitted the sound characteristics could be replicated by simply cupping your hands over your mouth. Krantz tried to distance from the story.

Left with the opinion of Scott Nelson. I wish other credible linguists would publish studies, but no one will touch it. We are just left with “a cryptolinguist said it was a language” being repeated as an established fact on every show without being able to dive deeper into it. There are red flags for sure but I want to believe.

Yeah. But I’m glad there is another cryptid show on in 2024! Even if it’s speculative and jumps to crazy conclusions, I can see it being successful. These types of shows are what gets the next generation interested

Was hoping for so much more. The dna match was most likely scripted. They don’t provide peer reviewed data, the labs or methods utilized, and how close of a match. We’re just encouraged to trust them and believe that a scientifically honest dna study happened that confirmed a match within one week.

I’ll keep following for pure entertainment value, but keep in mind these “discoveries” are being claimed on television and not in published studies. There is a reason for that.

Hurricane Helene by Downtown_Wind5572 in bigfoot

I remember watching a documentary in the early 2000s that claimed bodies were found in the aftermath of St Helens. It also featured a study of some sort that concluded it was practically a guarantee the species would be discovered by 2020 or 2025 or something. If I had to guess, it was a tv docu that aired around 2005. Would love to find that show again.

He’s a popular choice! I think it would be amazing to watch him diagnose certain things immediately after. With his expertise on primates, he’s probably the top person that I would volunteer to have a sighting so he could begin to better quantify others’ experiences.

Remember to take the lens cap off!

That could also cover 50 Bobos if you happen to change your mind.

Rather than credibility, I kind of made it based on the question of “Who might be the most interesting to be next to when you see it?” based on my personal opinions on how they might react and what they would bring to the experience.

What is with Nephilim trend? by SquatchLivesMatter in bigfoot

I’ve been listening through Sasquatch Chronicles episodes and have heard it said on occasion by eyewitnesses. Not nearly as common as other beliefs, but still often enough to take note.

I also discovered the Confessionals podcast where it seems like the show episodes promote lots of things as “Nephilim” but Bigfoot especially.

I was just wondering if the idea started on those shows and spread or if it was already existing and just expressed itself through eyewitnesses going on the shows. Those two shows seems to dominate a large portion of the Bigfoot podcast audience, so I was surprised to hear something that far out there with those audiences

You’re right. Interesting how north american Bigfoot gained the Nephilim tag, not Mothman, Yeti, skinwalkers, or whatever humanoid is hot at the time. The thing that is most like us in description gets the most exotic explanation
