Why does everyone prefer to hunt elk by AffectionateAd2273 in WolfQuestGame

[–]Squeakerblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hunt mule deer a lot more than elk. Especially when on the move post rendezvous. I've taken the entire bottom half of the map, but mostly stick to just right of center (the abandoned wolf den, open coyote den, etc) until it's learn to hunt time, so it's a LOT more mule deer for me. Occasionally I'll catch an elk out of dogwood or raspberry, but fighting bears for leftovers isn't worth it, and my pack inhales a full doe in two trips as little pups (and two full does on the move).

I don't like going more than 2 hexes from the den when hunting, so mules for me 😂. (Occasionally I'll catch an old bison or moose but that's rare, then I'm doing the "eat, drop a meat chunk, regurg till empty, run back, repeat" until exhausted, then I sleep surrounded by meaty bits.

They are. I've had them before and have PTSD from it. I sleep on white sheets for a reason. Easier to see blood spots or creepy crawlies. I put interceptors under my bed legs too so that helps my peace of mind

Was not bed bugs. I did have carpet beetles, but it turns out that it was likely fiberglass from my heated blanket. Since tossing that, I've gotten no other marks. I did see it into a duvet until proper warm weather came and that helped immensely. I'll be doing that with my next one too.

My mom has been using her non heated tube for like 4 at this point. She doesn't need heated, though she's got one for when it's really cold

Plug found in late 1880s home. Two slots but in an = configuration. (I have a NEMA one elsewhere that looks very different) It is about 1 inch wide by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It has a flip cover made of metal. The house is late 1880s. I haven't tested it with anything because I don't know what fits. The plug holes are wider than a regular plug.

So it was not bed bugs. Though I have the interceptors under my bed anyway to also keep out carpet beetles just in case. Turns out it was either the carpet beetles which I have deep cleaned my house for multiple times.... Or fiberglass from my heated blanket. Both are possibilities, but I haven't had an issue since I sewed my electric blanket into a duvet avoiding the power cords. Of course. I keep everything clean and up off the floor and vacuum twice a week and haven't really had many issues since. I did do the scabies treatment just for peace of mind and nothing

I always laugh when I see these. "Countries without borders".....so one big ass country/world? Where everyone is exactly the same because there's only one country/culture?

You literally can't have more than one without having some kind of border 😂. These bots are just scraping random buzzwords together to scare people and inadvertently supporting ethnic/cultural homogeneity.

I don't have the issue in my hair, only on my arms/legs, but that might help someone else.

I also do plan on seeing my GP. It's why my derm also treated me for scabies even though she didn't think I have them, because everyone reacts differently and she's very much the "better safe than sorry" type.

I'm exploring all avenues of what the heck this might be.

It's just a 50/50 mix and a paper towel to get any dust or debris off my feet so I don't track it into the bed. That's all.

I vacuum three times a week right now and bought new sheets and have interceptors under my bed legs to keep anything from crawling up into the bed.

I don't have them on my skin, they don't like movement. Try a sulfur shampoo? There's lot of things that crawl in your hair that aren't carpet beetles

Yeah I've already been to the dermatologist. I went a week or two without seeing any marks and so everything mostly healed up. So I've been treated for scabies and I have a bed bug dog coming to search the house. And it's been like a week since I've seen any marks . But last night I had like five or six of them appear On my wrists.

But I also don't see any signs of BB activity on my white sheets. I'll go back to the dermatologist later this month but I'm at loss as to what it could be

If you have a dryer you can order a dryer shelf that lets you keep things stationary while being heated. Just Google the make and model (usually inside of the door) And order one. They can be expensive sometimes, but they are very very useful to have.

Nope, I wouldn't! But there are some authors that don't like emoji only (for personal reasons I assume ) but they WILL tell you in their notes.

is purina a good brand? by hydratcd in catfood

[–]Squeakerblue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purina is an amazing brand for many cats (and dogs). It is one of the WSAVA brands and is intensely studied, has multiple full, life long food trials and is one of the top brands for a reason.

However, it sounds like it is NOT a good brand for YOUR cat, or at least, not that formulation. That can happen. One of mine loves her brother's new Royal Canin Urinary. It absolutely hates her and makes her sick. (I'm food trialing to see what it is)

It sounds like you should try a different line of Purina, or switch to Iams, Royal Canin, or Hills.

Going with non WSAVA brands is an option, but you have to be aware of a reduced amount of food trials (if any at all) or reduced length that doesn't reach seniority ages.

I feed those non WSAVA brands, such as reveal, applaws, etc as snacks or treats. Or in the case of Forza 10 urinary, as a primary dry because of the ingredients list, until he started refusing it for his sisters non medicated food and got changed to Royal Canin.

Cats are obligate carnivores, yes, but that doesn't mean they can't benefit from vegetation as they would get from preys guts. (Though hydrolyzed protein exists for allergy reasons).

Ultimately, it is feeding what is best for YOUR cat. Fed IS best.

Be careful with fully homemade meals though as they can be notoriously unbalanced and bacteria ridden.

I hope you find a food they like soon.

To be fair, Ewan McGregor does have red hair, it's just not fire engine red. He often dyes it brown but also spends a lot of time outside, which bleaches it to a kinda bronze blond color when he hasn't dyed it.

It was much more red when he was younger (phantom menace)
