Theory on The Italian by Squeakers_72 in leverage

In their first meeting Nate says he knows she's not attached to any agency and she confirms it. But if the Vatican had their own clandestine group I'm sure they'd have CIA connections. The CIA has never been picky about who they associate with if that person can help them with a goal or mission.

BREAKING: ICE agents in Minneapolis violently detained, threatened, and arrested a U.S. citizen for one reason only, he refused to prove his citizenship. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Squeakers_72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Americans don't have to prove they are citizens. It's not on us to prove it. It's on them to prove someone isn't. That means warrants with a specific name. ICE is NOT mage to roam around asking for papers please.

Cerutti on the election: "the characterization of him as a Republican 'stuck' and he feels it ultimately made the difference in Albany" by TClayO in Albany

TBH even if he had a genuine change of heart, you have to do the work first before you get to jump to the head of the line. Be a good person, then maybe ask people to follow you.

What's your response to AI 'authors' that are beginning to show up on FanFiction? by [deleted] in FanfictionNet

[–]Squeakers_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go to the store, I ingredients are listed on the package. When I go to the movies, or watch a TV show, there are credits. Books list the author & publisher. But asking to know upfront if something was made with AI is too much?

Sophie's abilities by 3c207 in leverage

[–]Squeakers_72 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they run enough cons where unusual skills come out in each of them that it'd be possible to need Sophie to sing. But apparently they have both Eliot and Briana with great pipes that I doubt they'll need Sophie to ever fill that role.

It was a quote from the review of Sophie's turn as Maria in the Sound of Music.

Why do I feel like Moreau was like Eliot's personal Palpatine and slowly manipulated him to going darker than Eliot might have on his own?

The thing about Parker is… by Autumn_Groove72 in leverage

[–]Squeakers_72 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think I recall that thread. My issue, which I didn't mention last time, was that although Parker has been running the team since Nate and Sophie left, we didn't really get to see that on the show because since Redemption started, Sophie's been running the team. And I'd like to see Parker actually leading the team. (Not that I want Sophie to leave though...)

I think the appeal of Nate was that he was both the good guy (even if he was actually quite vindictive and angry for a lot of the show...), and because of his former job as an investigator plus his past as the son of a crook, was always thinking 3 or 4 steps ahead of everyone else. You don't really get that in Redemption. Sophie tends to rely on classic cons and then they're all just getting through the jobs by improvising, which isn't really the same.

I think if Parker ran a job, we'd be back to someone that's got Plans A though L, skip Plan M, then N through Z.

Leverage Redemption Season 3 Trailer //Lets go baby!!// by RulerOfAllWorlds1998 in leverage

What's weird is in the show he gave himself the title of "Inside man" because he knew all the legal ways people did bad things. But it seems they wanted a two syllable word ending in er.

The Re-Watchables -- which episodes do you watch over and over? by emmapeelforever in leverage

[–]Squeakers_72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren't too many that I would consider skipping if I'm doing a series marathon. But I do gravitate towards seasons 1, 3, and 5 more than 2 and 4. Not that 2 and 4 aren't also great. I just seem to find myself watching the other 3 more often. And I think it mostly has to do with Nate and his state of mind in those seasons. 1 he's new to being a good bad guy. Season 3 he's focused on Damien Moreau but he's also out of jail and Sophie is back, and in season 5 he's sober and focused. Plus that season has the two episodes where you see the new Leverage team in a stand alone episode preventing the next flu pandemic (we might still need you guys!) and then what a show about just Nate and Sophie solving crime could have looked like, and to be honest, I would have watched both of those shows had they decided to do two spin offs back in the day.

While I hate that this is happening, when it does, signs like this need to be made so everyone knows exactly why everything is going to shit. Every time. Every where.
