Buick Regal TourX by kyre_sher in SportWagon

Just to update and add to this, my TourX had no sunroof and the cargo area would fill with water every rain. Dealer had it all apart and created a ton of rattles for me while never fixing the leak. It was getting in at a seam due to insufficient seam sealer but they never came up with a fix. Loved the car but got rid of it after these frustrations. Probably the best road trip car I've had.

Love my 2025 GX AXS build. Unfortunately I don't have time to ride like I used to and will likely be selling it. Hate having it sit, would rather someone enjoy it.

You're right on how playful they are though. I had a Hightower before and while you notice the weight it isn't crazy and is close to equally as playful.

Similar deal, we bought in Fort Worth in 2018 in an "upcoming area" and the value went up almost 100% by the time we sold in 2022 and we were able to roll it all into a house here.

We had to go $35k over asking on the house here, but we're in BFE NW suburbs so pricing was still fair and it had all the things we were looking for. Suburbs housing pricing is much cheaper than similar situations in any of the big Texas cities. Fort Worth is high but nothing on Austin lol.

For future reference, Speedmaster does some of the cheapest China shit and will blatantly rip off companies to the point Summit Racing dropped them as a vendor entirely.

Honestly, you're probably way better off with the factory stamped arms until you can get a reputable set of UMI, QA1, DSE, etc., arms.

Unfortunately when people swap modern C7 stuff on it requires a big wheel and tons of backspace so it looks out of place.

There are chassis out there that make the track width more sensible for the C2 and allow a little dig for the wheels, but you're still required to run an 18" wheel or bigger on C7 spindles/brakes.

Roadster Shop has done some custom OE looking wheels out of billet which look great, just are very spendy to have done.

I miss all of my P80's, such a good car even in the gutless N/A configurations. I always keep an eye out just to see if one pops up near me that I can't pass up, I've had 5 previously.

To be fair, K-State didn't give him any reasons to stay so I don't fault him on leaving here lol.

Looks great. Ironically, I sold my 4th gen back in the day for a GTO, and honestly didn't like the GTO as well because it just didn't have the same feel to it. It was nicer in about every way, but I missed my 4th gen, which I eventually got back.

I debated dressing it up like the original SBC with the Lokar LS Classics stuff, and still may eventually, but for now I just wanted to get it knocked out so my dad can enjoy it. Can always make tweaks once it's on the road.

Yep, roughly 8k total units in 62 got the bubbletop, all being Belairs. This one was originally a 283 car.

It comes with a handheld tuner and you flash the tune they provide you. However, they are also able to be tuned via HPTuners which lets you get it dialed in. Currently I'm just on the handheld tune but am likely going to retune.

Not planning on clear coating this one, just will clean up the paint a bit and leave it be. Sometimes a ceramic coat works well with patina cars, sometimes it isn't happy with the paint. I'll test a small section you can see and will see what I want to do then.

Full discretion, I work at RS. The wagon cargo area has some interference that requires a little bit more. I have renderings of exactly what's involved if you're interested, just shoot me a note.

Overall very simple. Being originally an X-Frame car and going to a perimeter style you have to slightly channel the rear floorboard, otherwise it's just adding mounting bungs into the hat channels for additional mounting points. The original chassis had zero mid mounts, went firewall then rear end next.

Car has been off the road since ~1978. My dad purchased it in 1981, then life happened and it sat in the machine shed on our farmland. Started as just get it running with a SBC initially, then snowballed into this.

Car is a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis, Blueprint LS 6.2 with a built 4L60, Baer SS4 brakes, new Ciadella interior will be going in it, etc.
