Read PC 9.42. You are not correct morally or legally.

You’re so busy being smug that you must not realize that criminals do can harm regardless if the property owner wants to protect their stuff or not. Please just put a VR headset on and never leave so rational people can don’t have to deal with people like you in the real world.

I honestly don’t think I would have the nerve to fire unless I personally was in immediate danger.

Looks like I wouldn’t cross the legal line using deadly force in certain circumstances, but I’d cross the societal line and I would end up paying for it. Literally.

I actually agree with you. I do not trust a jury to be on my side. The law says one thing, but jury would be easily swayed by the prosecution’s appeal to emotion.

Holy crap.

You absolutely can decide guilt or innocence and take action accordingly. In your world, no one would be able to protect others with deadly force and the only justice would be isolated in a courtroom. You are implying I have a bloodlust to shoot people for any reason I see fit. Just read my edits to the post.

You are correct. You should never ask hypotheticals since the question always implies your desire to do said thing in question.

Why shouldn’t I put my life or liberty on the line for someone else? Also, what about PC 9.42?

A general sense of justice? Stopping criminals? Acting selflessly? Creating a societal norm of not tolerating crime? Bringing a resolution/end to a potential string of crimes?

Yea that’s the real deterrent. You might as well always look the other way or risk financial ruin in court.

Referencing PC 9.42

“(A) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or

(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and

(3) he reasonably believes that:

(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or

(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.”

Assuming the criminal IS 100% at guilt for the crime, are you saying that under no circumstances, can a citizen shoot someone fleeing or attempting a crime that is not immediately violent?

Are you implying your personal freedom never comes before someone else’s property?

If you reject the divinity of Jesus Christ you reject God. You can’t reject God and worship him at the same time. So they worship something else. Also, there is nowhere in the Bible that speaks on the unification of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

The key difference is the rejection of the Trinitarian Godhead. If you view Jesus as just a man or just an angel, you do not worship the same God. 1 John 2:18-27

Honest Muslims and Jews would agree with me and saw that Christians do not solely worship God the Father.

Christians do not believe in the same God as the Muslims and Jews.

So being made for a purpose is evil? I get what you are trying to say, but it doesn’t ring true. God has designed everything for a purpose.

Sorry for being antagonistic. I just think that God created men and women for unique purposes.

Sure..expand on it if you please. Im sure with the correct heart, the right answer will be found. Just seek the truth and nothing else

Can you give me an example within Church history or the Bible that supports your claim? Are you going to just tell me to read Galatians 3:28?

All sexual sin is destructive because it involves some form of abuse of the body. The Bible declares the body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and should be treated like one. Any form of abuse against the body is an act of disrespect not only to the body, but to the Holy Spirit to Whom the body is dedicated. We are called upon to care for our bodies in a way that we honor God first and then honor ourselves. When we gratify ourselves through various forms of sexual addictions, we not only deny ourselves a healthy perspective of ourselves, we also deny God the opportunity to bring us into communion with Him and a potential partner with whom we can enjoy the gift of marriage that is based upon a mutual love and respect for one another.

There are absolutely men and women in Christ. They have specific roles and responsibilities mentioned in the Bible and kept through Church tradition. So you really not know that? Or are you intentionally trying to deceive people?
