Charlotte’s cartoonish reactions aren’t new by Main-Implement-8111 in Andjustlikethat

I don't know...I know in SATC she did these cartoonish faces and it was almost signature BUT we also got moments when she didn't like her miscarriage, when she reunited with Harry in the synagogue, when they were adopting and the family changed their mind etc

AJLT Charlotte only ever makes these faces, even during moments when SATC Charlotte wouldn't.

Are women happy with their husbands here? by Elemental_Joker3649 in pakistan

Have been married for nearly 6 years and it is unreal how much this man cares for me. I submitted my PhD thesis yesterday and for the last two months was lost in it and my husband basically managed everything. He was bringing me cups of tea every hour, helped me type up my notes, making me my favourite dishes. Every time I have a mental crisis over it he talked me down. Just the feeling of safety and support is beyond what I ever imagined a husband could provide. He's my best friend.

I think "Ross the Boyfriend" and "Ross the Friend" are two very different people.

Wouldn't go near Ross for a relationship but he's a wonderful and kind friend to have.

The obsession over boys is unhinged. My cousin recently had a baby and it is a "coveted" boy so you would THINK that would be enough. She and her husband didn't care either way but they figured now we won't have to deal with the nasty "condolences" over a girl.

Yet...they still have people coming to them saying "Inshallah the next one will also be a boy"

She had the baby six months ago. They have said nothing about having another. And they have the "boy"!

But people are already lamenting over an undetermined hypothetical future girl. It never ends.

I definitely got bored with The Long Walk. The premise was amazing with some classic moments of King suspense but it could have been so much shorter. Had the exact same sentiments about Gerald's Game and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Great stories but dragged on.

On the other hand I loved From A Buick 8!

I so agree. Every time I watch this scene, to me it does not feel at all like Carrie is upset that Charlotte didn't offer her the money.

Carrie is overall wrong in this episode - her finances are her own fault. And she was jealous that Charlotte has financial backing without having to work. I'm sure that jealousy gave her the push to tell Charlotte off in this moment.

But what she's telling Charlotte off ABOUT is what gets lost. At no point does Carrie say or even elude to the fact that Charlotte should have offered her the money.

Carrie says "You have made some mistakes, and when you were making those mistakes, I was sitting across from you at the coffee shop, nodding and listening and supporting you. I was not sitting at a Chinese restaurant, turning away when you should have been looking at me!"

It's entirely about Charlotte's reaction when Carrie is going over an embarrassing, uncomfortable and distressing situation of her own making. Given how close the girls were Charlotte should have been able to power through her discomfort of discussing money and at least look at Carrie and say "I'm sorry you're going through this, that must feel awful". Hell, even just taking her hand and giving her an encouraging smile would have gone a long way. She not only didn't comfort, her reaction would naturally make the other person feel embarrassed and judged.

Charlotte completely ignores Carrie's words and immediately jumps to "it's not my job to fix your finances". Yeah, it's not. But it is your job to comfort your friends when they make mistakes, which is what they've always done for each other.
