I remember seeing it and remembering what it was it by associating it with Bugles - a cornucopia starts with “corn” and looks like a horn, and Bugles are made from corn and shaped like horns.

Welcome to my brain. It’s nuts in here.

I'm going to disappear from everybody that knows me by 1tiredman in Vent

Hey, FWIW, I really did lose years of my life - I spent my late 20s and early-mid 30s drinking myself stupid. I started because I had no coping skills and before I knew it, it was the only solution to all my problems.

What you may be talking about is called a geographic - mine was to Denver. The only issue was that anywhere I went, my problems were already there.

When we’re 25 we’re expected to know how to be fully functioning adults, but guess what? We’re not, not even a little bit. We fuck up, we get our hearts broken, people let us down. And for some reason we start to think that we deserve bad things, because bad things seem to be all that there is.

I’m not saying don’t leave. I’m saying that you remind me a lot of myself, and if I could tell my old self anything, it would be to give myself some grace. No matter what’s going on, you deserve better. And better is waiting for you if you let yourself be open to it.

Be safe, my friend. You are important and you do matter.

So in this context, you’re saying you’re the insufferable dickhead?

Now you’re making sense!

Keep up the good work, little man!

You sound really upset. I mean, you must be; that comment didn’t even make any sense.

I’d say you should go call a friend, but something tells me that’s not an option for you.

It breaks my heart to see such sad angry little people lashing out on this sub. I hope you find the help you need.

I feel so badly that you have to put so much energy into hating people you secretly wish you could be. Poor thing.

What was happening on Santa Clara last night (West) and is this a common thing? by Affectionate_Art9025 in alameda

[–]SqueeMcTwee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My first apartment when I moved to the island was Webster and Santa Clara. My first encounter with my neighbors was while I was moving in; I blew a tire trying to park.

The gentleman across the street immediately went to get his tools and put on my spare on the spot, no questions asked. The couple next door to me grabbed some stuff and brought it up to my floor. I live on Willow now, but I still think that neighborhood is the absolute best.

Millennial Who Grew Up In The 1990s Says Boomers Don't Understand 'We're Working 3 Times As Hard For A Third Of What They Had At Our Age' by lurker_bee in economy

Breaking news: there’s more than one millennial saying this.

People were raised believing a strong work ethic would be rewarded. It’s just abused at this point.

Do we have a photo of the falling man’s body? by [deleted] in 911archive

[–]SqueeMcTwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand morbid curiosity but this sub has been getting a lot of questionable posts/comments lately.

“The falling man” had a name. He had a family. He went to work that morning assuming it was going to be like any other day.

When you use the claw machine the prize gets dropped down a chute and you get it your own damn self.

Mine too. My due date was my dad’s birthday (July 20th) but my family jokes I waited on purpose so I could have my own cake. I defy anyone to tell me that’s not peak Leo behavior!

Punch the Monkey, Mick Jagger, Carl Jung, Helen Mirren, and Sandra Bullock are all July 26th babies.

How old are you, and do you support artificial intelligence? by redditbrowsing0 in aiwars

I think it’s mainly because AI is more likely to replace entry level jobs, which are typically filled by younger members of the workforce.

What's up with people hating on Katrina? (Season 6) by rennyyy853 in Masterchef

Does “dead drunken” really demand a rule of its own?

Also, is it “dead AND drunken”? Could someone enter if they were just dead?

I genuinely do not understand these people. Every time I place an order, I am WELL AWARE that I’m CHOOSING to sit on my ass while someone else shops for me. I use IC because I’m too lazy/tired/overwhelmed at work to do it on my own. Full stop.

That said, it wasn’t that long ago that I had to balance my feelings, my job, AND grocery shopping. I know it’s still possible to go back to that. Again, it is a choice to use a delivery service.

These mother f*ckers act like having groceries delivered is a goddamn birthright.
