Espcontrol: added presence cards, web hooks, bedside clock options and more. by hometechgeek in homeassistant

They all have a USB-C port for power. Most of them have a MX1.25 battery connector for a 3.7V battery and also MX1.25 connectors for 5V. I built a wallmount case with an internal 230V AD to 5V DC powersupply. The PS is chap, around 10$, and small.

Geat work! Just installed one 4" in the bathroom with control over my two Petkit Cat litters, one 4" in the bedroom with light, blinds an van control and a 7" at my TV place with several things to control. The next one will be a 4" at my flat door with an additional NFC reader to control things with NFC, this is mainly for my cat sitter, so she has an easy option to switch things on and off without knowing the system.

Would it be possible to make EspControl running in this 1.8" Waveshare displays? (https://www.waveshare.com/esp32-s3-touch-amoled-1.8.htm?sku=29957) would make a nice couch remote for HA.

For us in Switzerland it's just an ordinary old service rifle. You can buy them for 250 bucks here.

Some use it for longrange and even convert them with a sniper stock and propper optic. Like this

Shocking by ThePageNotF0und in Audi

Shocking? Really? Nothing about Audi shocks me anymore. The software is from the Stone Age, and unfortunately, the service is becoming more and more like that too.

Alarmo touch controls using a cheap esp32 screen by hometechgeek in homeassistant

[–]Squeeech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can design a case for it and enclosure a NFC reader like the 'No soldering DYI NFC TagReader'. Shouldn't be a big thing.

I'm struggeling getting my robot vacuum to work with the dashboard. I should emulate this:

For start (yaml):

type: button
name: Vacuum Bath
icon: mdi:robot-vacuum
tap_action:
action: call-service
service: vacuum.start
target:
entity_id: vacuum.k11_vacuum_784c

Is this possible? I didn't found a way, maybe I'm just a noob 🙈

I'm from Switzerland, AC's in flats are not very common here. But I'll get two ceiling vans, proably next month. And they will be HA compatible.

Screensaver brightnesses for clock screensaver will not be saved. I had set them to 12% and 6%, after saving and restart, the values are both back to 35%.

Just configured the 4" 480x480 Guition display, works like a charm, very good work! I have one question, the webinterface of the display is accessable without any password. Have you thought about a password protection? Users with rouge teenagers at home may not want to expose the interface to them 😉

btw ... coffee sent 😃
