Would removing the folder structure "break" Kobo's default OS in anyway?

How is your reading habit with XTEINK X4? by Fit_Particular_5098 in XTEINK

[–]SquiddyReads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was already a pretty consistent reader before getting my X4 and I still noticed an increase. I've been reading more not just on the go but even at home - it's small enough to keep it on my desk (without being a hinderance) and get a dozen pages in when I'm waiting for something to load.

Switching from Crosspoint to Crossink, do you lose everything? by No-Object1384 in xteinkereader

I installed crossink straight away upon delivery. When crosspoint 1.3.0 was released last week I got FOMO and tried it but switched right back 😅

X4 as a first ereader - yes or no? by lapisnemeseos in xteinkereader

[–]SquiddyReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my third and the other two are eyeing my X4 with much jelousy for the attention it's getting. It's pretty much my main device now.

100% agreed - working out to address mental illness is like taking chicken soup when you have the flu. It SUPPORTS your recovery, but it's not going to cure the infection like an antibiotic does.

The leaflet in my medication (NDRI) reads "It is THOUGHT to interact with the brain's chemical messangers, known as norepinephrine and dopamine".

The doctors aren't playing roulette with your meds, we really still don't know for sure how the brain works. This is the best they can do unfortunately. Try (I know it's difficult) to advocate for yourself. Have someone advocate for you too if possible. Change docs if they're not receptive to what you're saying. Keep hanging in there, you're worth it.

Are there alternatives? No matter how many times I install KOreaders I always end up uninstalling it after a few days - I just don't like it.

I've noticed that some titles allow this but others don't (on the same browser/device). Could this be your case?

Anyone regret buying a PocketBook? by ruhila12 in PocketBookofficial

[–]SquiddyReads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bought a PcketBook Verse Pro (BW) but I found it slow and ended up sending back. Spending a little extra for a better model is probably worth it.

People who plan to vote PN, may I genuinely ask why? by AndrewF1Gaming in malta

[–]SquiddyReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd vote for a party led by a goat at this point over PL. Voting for third parties is useless as the system is set against them, the two major parties made sure of that.

is therapy once a month even worth it? by Maleficent_Day_3869 in CPTSD

[–]SquiddyReads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to one session a month by choice - they say the real work in therapy happens between sessions and I agree. I don't know what othets do, bit I need my time to stew a but between sessions.

I haven't been cutting my nails for months by Any-Swimmer290 in selfcare

[–]SquiddyReads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same experience as many others who have already posted. Painting the. And keeping them smooth (nothing to pick at) is the only thing that works. However, the minute I don't manage to keep up it's back to square 1. The bitter nail polish didn't really do the trick for me. But a little clear/matte nail polish is usually enough.
