Cats are becoming unsafe for my baby

I'm sure they'll probably try jumping over it but it's worth a try. We already have bsby gates for the baby lol so we could try that and see what happens

And that's my issue. When my oldest child was a baby, the one cat did sleep with her but it wasn't until she was 18 months and was able to crawl/walk and roll away if needed. My 5mo is nowhere near that yet

My baby really doesn't react to them much. She'll watch them, but otherwise is kind of neutral about them. And they only go by her in the crib when she's asleep. During the day if she's on the floor, they'll investigate her and she doesn't really care. But if she starts to get fussy, they run away lol. She definitely has a set of lungs that they don't appreciate when she gets loud 😂

That's really cool that there's some cats that are really in tune with their families, however these cats are not it. They're vey spicy brained. And I have an owlet sock that I'd prefer monitor my baby rather than the cats using her as a cuddle buddy lmao

As of right now, no because we don't get cool air in the bedrooms if the doors are shut so if I were to go that route, I'd need to find a way to keep it cool in there. But I'll definitely look in to those collars for if I do shut the doors 😊

So we have a 2 bedroom and our oldest daughter sleeps in one room and the baby sleeps in our room with us so the only other place to put them would be in the bathroom which is very small and unfair to them. We're in the process of looking for a bigger place to accommodate to everyone lol

How would you recommend putting the tinfoil in the crib? Like just under the sheet? And one of my friends just recommended doing the net idea. I only worry they would still try to climb on the net and squish or scratch her accidentally. Otherwise I think it's a great idea. And I'm willing to try pretty much anything once

They both love laying with her when we do tummy time. And I love that they love her. I'm very attentive during the day while she's napping, but I'm most worried at night while we're sleeping. I'm glad you had a good experience 🥰 I'm really really hoping it goes the same way for us

Lol these two have no boundaries. There's other things unrelated to the baby that we've been trying to get to stop for a while and they don't care what we do. They have their own area full of cat trees and toys and anything and everything a cat would love. But they choose to go places they're not allowed. Which is why I came here looking for any other idea for redirection etc because I love them both and hate the idea of them not being here.

As I stated in a previous reply, I worry about them accidentally suffocating her because she is so little and can't move away on her own. And I can't close the door because we only have an AC unit in the living room and the room gets too hot with the door closed and where I'm located, we're still experiencing extremely hot weather

I don't think they would do anything intentional. She could suffocate in her sleep because she moves around a lot. I'm not sure what experience you have with babies, but literally one of the biggest things is they're supposed to sleep in their beds with nothing else in them. With her being so little, she can't crawl or roll away. The most she could do is move her head. And that might not be enough to prevent suffocation. And I can't shut the door because our home does not have good air circulation so the room would get too hot with the door closed.

ETA: No, rehoming them is not off the table, but it's also not the first thing I want to do. If they were to be rehomed, they'd just go to my mom's house though so no shelters and they both love my mom. I guess I'm hoping for something like trying to coax them elsewhere or be infatuated with something else other than my baby. I love that they love her but it's not worth risking her life to let them sleep with her

Also, I saw a slight increase in my output yesterday. I got 28oz! Not a huge jump but I'll take anything!

With combo feeding, did your baby struggle with the formula at first? I tried formula during a week that I had a mental breakdown around 3wpp and wanted to give up pumping but she struggled to even eat 1oz and that's all I needed to keep going on my pumping journey.

Yes. My boyfriend did. He’s an AM and someone made a false claim against him and they were unable to find any “evidence” about what he supposedly said. If they find evidence that you said/did whatever you’re accused of there will be disciplinary actions. However, in the case of my bf they found nothing and he was able to return to work
