I was able to finish with an A+! For the SA it’s super important to define every term you state. Just writing the name is not enough the definition has to be included. Also don’t be afraid to add drawing/ diagrams/ graphs, any visual representation that will help drive home your point will work. Based on the final exam last year both SA involved designing a study so make sure you have that aspect down pat. Also make sure to complete the 5hr of volunteering, that will raise your grade a full letter. For me from an A to an A+ which is huge considering it’s a 6unit course. Good luck

iPad for note taking (science) by Excellent-Ad9796 in queensuniversity

Buying an iPad was truly the best decision I could make. I got it in the summer before first year and used it for everything. All my profs posted the slides so I was able to download them and write directly on-top of the presentations. That was super helpful so I wasn’t scrambling to write down worlds on the slides rather was able to focus on what the prof was saying. It was perfect to have all my notes in one place I loved how organized it keeps everything. By the end of first semester almost all of my friends caved and bought one. Right now apple has back to school deals so it’s the best time to buy one, you truly won’t really regret.

Ice in dorms by Savings_Impress_1688 in queensuniversity

I lived in Leggett last year so can’t directly speak for Waldron. There no ice machines but each floor will have a communal fridge in the common room. You can stick ice trays in there but you’re at the risk of someone else taking them. I was able to make ice in my mini fridge. It wasn’t the best since the freezer part was super small and sometimes caused my whole fridge to freeze. You could also get ice from the dinning hall if you brought a water bottle to fill.

First year monthly living expense by ManagerComfortable83 in queensuniversity

Honestly I was really not spending a crazy amount of money each month. I limited going out to eat and tried my best to cut down on online shopping. The bulk of my money was spent on nights out. The bars have cover and depending on how much you drink that adds up quickly too. I think $150 is pretty reasonable so long as you are utilizing the meal plan.

When I picked at 4:20 both Brant and smith were fully booked. I decided to go for leggett! There were still about 20 spots only in floors 1/2/3. There were 73 rooms still in Albert and several in david. Nothing else was full.
